Was so temepted watching Kettleworx on the shopping channel this morning - but am NOT going to allow myself to add to my swiss ball, cross trainer, reebok step, weights and weight bar, DVD's etc etc cluttering up my house.

So I've looked around and there's a class about half an hour away. I am good at going to classes and being 'locked in' for an hour.

Am really looking forward to it.

TracyK - how did it go - I have 2 kettlebells at home a 5KG & 8KG - would love to have a class near me.

Not gone yet - it's on at 6pm tonight!!! Can't wait!
Where are you Joby? There might be a class near you (ish) - mine is still 30-40 min drive away. But I'm hoping that if I like it enough - I can learn the basics and maybe motivate myself to do it at home!

Hi Joby.
Class went well - though am not too sure about my technique. It seemed to really work my upper body esp shoulders and arms. But have been surfing on youtube for pointers - and they are saying it should be all your body not really your shoulders.

I might give it another go next week when I'm not too nervous and concentrate on technique.
I do have bruises on my forearms from where the KB swings round. Having googled KB's and bruises - it seems a very common problem with beginners.
I might get one for the house - just to practice in private!
I was using 8 and 12kg's - which I think is a bit ambitious given that my technique wasn't 100%. Will drop and stay at 8kg for a while I think.

Sounds like you had fun, I'm jealous.
