Super Acai and Pure Hoodia suppliments to help with curbing appitite?

in my hour of desperation ive gone and orderd some of these things, imediatly after ordering i felt like a right idiot and put it down as an experience to learn from as its a super expensive monthly bill eek!

anyway the packet turns up i read all the leaflets ect and decide well worth a try!

blimey it really does supress your appitite, and i had a real problem with all day grazing, a really big size 22 issue Blush

so just wondering if anyone else has had experience with it?

Hi. I?ve been taking super acai and hoodia for the last 5 days it did take a couple of days to kick in but so far it does seem to be working :)I have tried everything in the past so I was a bit sceptical at first, it is really expensive but I managed to get it on a free trial all I paid was £2.50 for postage for the first month. On the website that I went to it recommended taking a colon cleanser with the super acai so I brought some from holland and barrette don?t know if that?s made a difference though!

LadyOfTheManor · 15/01/2011 18:06

Belly, keep me posted. I'm doing the Herbalife diet atm and it appears to be working fine, but I feel sometimes I may need a snack, so these appetite suppressants sound right up my street.

bellylicious · 15/01/2011 18:50

OP posts:
LadyOfTheManor · 15/01/2011 19:08

I think that sounds great! count me in. Now can you kindly supply the website where you buy the stuff?!

bellylicious · 15/01/2011 21:04

superacai.co.uk

not cheap though, for the super acai and the hoodia is £75 a month

imo a small price to pay for me to loose at least some of the excess weight

my bmi says i should be around the 10st mark

and at the mo im at the 18st 3lb mark eeek!
even if it helps me shift a third of that i'll be a happy lady

i walk the dog a mile a day along the coast and run round after 4 kids along side roughly 40min burst on the wii fit

hope it works

OK, shall we do a weigh in every week on here? We all have different goals and you have your cheaters medicine that I do not yet have. So although you want to lose more than me, you have the DRUGS!!

applemint · 16/01/2011 17:56

@bellylicious £75 a month is a total rip-off - you can buy similar products elsewhere for a fraction of the price. For example:

www.iherb.com/Paradise-Herbs-South-African-Hoodia-60-Veggie-Caps/4268?rcode=GAT658

Also the website/company you mentioned is linked with a lot of dubious websites and misleading advertising claims etc. See:

Working links for previous post. Smile

i read the thread agree it seems odd but i read the t&c's and so was fully aware of the 75 price tag rip off or not

i think some people are too quite to accept an offer without reading t&c's

thats for the links anyway

tbh if it works id pay!!!

id pay to have my stomach stapled if it meant id loose weight but with 4 kids and no back up i cant afford to be off my feet

i said id give this 2 months to show me some results and then stop so you can sleep soundly knowing ill only get ripped off for 2 months lol Grin

Hello to everyone, I just wanted to pop on and say hello, hope you don't mind.

I was reading your thread (I am trying to lose weight with Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness classes but like to get inspiration where ever I can find it!). Anyway, I read about the Acai berry. I have read a few things on the Internet about scams to do with people getting a free trial of Acai berry and then being billed etc.

I was Googling around and found this site

here

www.eatwashington.com/article/chew_on_this_forget_the_acai_diet_try_vinegar/

It says you can have a bit of vinegar or lemon juice before meals to suppress appetite. I can't vouch for it being true or not, I just found it. Just to be clear I am not endorsing any of the ads on the page for diet pills or anything. I am going down the less eating and more exercise route, which is slow but sure, for me.

Still I decided to give vinegar/lemon juice a go and made a salad with crispy leaves/spinach and tomatoes (which is good as spinach is very healthy and I normally don't like it cooked!) So I used a dressing of two teaspoons cider vinegar to juice of half a lemon. It was pretty yummy!

I am not sure if I ate less then usual as I was jumping up from the table to serve everyone (as usual!) but I felt like I ate less!

Just wanted to add it into the discussion.

All the very best to all of you, I have a lot to lose and know how hard it can be so wish you all the best. Grin

Hi bellylicious

Yes I know you were aware of the £75 price tag and you are right people should read the bit where it says you will be charged this and be more careful about handing over there credit card details. Smile

But... I was just pointing out that Hoodia is available way cheaper elsewhere and from companies who are not as "ethically challenged" as Pure Acai/Pure Slim. Wink

Another example (from a UK supplier):
www.justvitamins.co.uk/products/Hoodia-Gordonii-1108.aspx £11.95 and free delivery.

It's your money and I will sleep soundly regardless but personally I would not be happy giving my money to a company which uses such deceptive and misleading claims in their advertising, is linked with some rather sick hard core p0rn sites and in general seems to profit from taking advantage of women.
Angry

No reputable suppliers of these products make
such misleading claims regarding weight loss or false endorsements (as seen on BBC etc).

For example the link below simply says:

"Hoodia Cactus is thought to influence parts of the brain by imitating the effect that glucose has on the brain which may help to promote a feeling of fullness.
Hoodia Cactus may help to reduce persistent food cravings."
From: www.simplysupplements.net/product/330/hoodia-gordonii-cactus-750mg---sale-10-off/
