i lost a stone in 2 weeks. it costs about 46.50 a week IIRC. had tyo give up as i am now on a tight budget due to lowered income and extra outgoings with peter in hospital.

no, i have continued to try and eat healthily, and have slim fast as well, and have lost almost another stone. the 1st stone loss has spurred me on to try and acheive my goal.

Hi dabihp

There is another lighterlife thread running atm as well. If you have a look through that you will find that there have been some tremendous loses - moonshine and woodpops are the names that spring to mind.

I'm on week 2 and have a BMI of 30 and lost 6.5lbs on my first week.

louise35 · 05/10/2005 20:14

I know we should not get weighed at home but I got on this morning and have lost 5.6 kilos since last Thursday which equates to about 12.5 pounds so I am really chuffed, and thats with another two full days to go until my proper weigh in. I am hoping that I may have clocked a stone this week, that will make a total loss of 20 pounds in 2 weeks. I cannot believe how easy this diet it. The only thing now is I am struggling to get 3 food packs down me now and have survived on 2 for the last couple of days. Have you felt the same Merlot? I think our stomachs may have drastically shrunk. I have cooked lovely oven roasted jacket spuds and chicken korma for my family tonight without even the teeniest urge to pick, its great.

dabihp · 06/10/2005 12:33

how many calories are in the food packs?

Hi there,

600 calories in total - so 200 per pack !

I'm finding it great too - have lost 15lbs in 3 weeks. If you think about the food and alcohol that you are not consuming I don't think it is that expensive really !

Best diet I have ever been on - totally easy - don't have to think about it at all - which is great for me as I have a bit of an obsessive nature and in the past have lived and breathed my current diet to the detriment of other things that I should have been thinking about !

dabihp · 06/10/2005 20:24

that is soooo low, surely that cant be good for you?

No it's fine really - 3 packs contain absolutely all the RDAs of everything - the only thing you aren't getting is excess calories - because quite simply you need to digest the fat that is already in your body. So because you aren't feeding your body enough calories to keep it going - it looks elsewhere and starts burning the fat stores. But nutritionally it is absolutely sound - otherwise it would not be medically approved !

Also - many people say they feel healthier on it than before - because I think most of us don't get all our RDAs from what we usually eat !

MorticiaMerlot · 06/10/2005 23:18

I certainly feel healthier on this diet than I did before. Tbh, I think a large part of that is also down to feeling properly hydrated by the large amount of water that you need to drink.
