Does anyone get free or reduced exercise due to obesity?

A friend mentioned she joined a gym at a substantially reduced price as part of an obesity reduction programme in her area. Does anyone know about these?

A friend of mine was entitled to free swimming at one point, but I'm afraid I don't know any details.

I had one for depression last year. I asked for an exercise prescription and got cheap membership to the local council gym, and all my sessions were £2.95 instead of £6.10. They call it Healthy Horizons or some such bollocks round here
