Hi Ladies,

Just a light hearted thread, but also to help me feel i am not the only one ..... Wink

I lost a stone and a half between July and December, was determined to get into a size 12 LBD for big Xmas night out. Did it, felt great, then went a bit, erm, bonkers over Xmas and New Year. Basically ate whatever and whenever i fancied it.

Until today, when i weighed myself on first day back at work and have gained 4 pounds, in 2 weeks. Sob!

Some encouragement and any other stories very welcome!!

4Ibs is nothing lovely and it will be off again in the blink of an eye.

I myself took my eye off things for a bit during the back end of last year and planned to go on a huge fitness drive beginning this week. Except last week I had a bit of an accident which has left me on crutches needing physio and possibly an operation which mean no exercise for at least 6 weeks! On top of that I've managed to put on 1.5stone Sad

Do you feel better about your 4Ibs now?

DooinMeCleanin · 06/01/2011 16:00

4lb is nothing. I don't weigh myself, but none of my clothes fit. Or underwear. I gave up the diet for x-mas and gorged merrily Blush. I work in a chinese and get free food so I can gorge in style Blush Blush

I either neeed to win the lottery or loose weight quick sharp.

When I was in the habit of weighing myself often (i.e. when the scales didn't make me cry Grin) I managed to put on 8lb in a week. A week fgs. I was on holiday, but 8lb is still a hell of a lot in just a week.

No horror story this year, but if this can be any comfort to you: after my first diet a few years ago I gained 77lbs between the New Year and Easter... :(

I gained 6lbs but 3 of that is off already. Just get back on track with the healthy eating and exercise for a few days and it'll dissolve. Seems to me that it's not all 'real' weight somehow. Disappears faster than the solid weight gain of months or years. Does that make sense to anyone else at all?!!

Wow javotte. I remember that happening to an old school friend once. She was quite slim anyway, then lost loads of weight surviving on half salad sandwiches. Someone then brought her some sweets back from holiday, she ate them then couldn't stop.

Suppose it shows that a consistent, steady weight loss works much better than a crash diet (not that I'm saying that's what you did!)
