Am waiting with baited breath!!! Have checked every day for yonks! OK so has any-one thought yet about 2011 dieting?????? Am v.interested cos am going to enjoy Christmas, then do Cambridge weight loss plan, anyone else what ever plan you may want to follow

I so determined to make 2011 the year I reach my 'One day' ('One day' i'll fit back into that)!

I don't think i'm going to try a 'diet', as I've tried loads and I'm still massive!

I think it's going to be 'mind over matter'.

Will make every single effort to make 2011 the year to get rid of the flab. Will need lots of support, (nearly 4 stone to lose.) Positive thinking here I come!

AF said the other day that we should only do things that boost our self esteem. we should only bother ourselves with those that aide our self esteem.

I know she has a point, I hate my weight, I hate the fact that 3yrs ago I was where I wanted to be weight wise, but now am where I really loathe.

A good 3 or 4 stone to lose here too.

My dad has lost a ton of weight on the GL diet. and it makes sense to me... Think he is going to bring over a book for me...

Just got to get myself off the addiction to sugar and carbs...

H is leaving in a month or so, I need to get myself back to normality, I will need to start a new life, I need to be fitter.

I'm IN girls. Let's do it.

I keep joining threads on here and then forgetting about it, but I am determined that this is THE year!!

I have a stone to lose, not very much really, but managed to lose over 2stone about a year ago. Really i just need someone to kick me up the arse to get the last wee bit of weight off!

Not sure which diet, think I might just start with eating slightly less-the last few days i have stuffed my face silly! And doing a bit more exercise-started a new dvd a few weeks ago, but have only been doing it off and on.

Oh good! Great to have you all on board! I've just had very depressing trying on session trying to find something that will fit for NY's eve party. Don't want to have to buy anything.
Am looking forward to starting this as feel so big & sluggish at the moment.

Me too yes please!! three stone would be great, one and half to two stone is more realistic at my age and limited exercise opportunities (toddler and new baby). Would love to fit in to some of my pre-pregnancy clothes, and have a weekend away in April that I'd like to look a bit like my old self by. Am 12 stone at the minute.

Mainly just need to stop eating massive amounts of the wrong stuff! Know what I need to do but noooo willpower, some support with it would be great.

Oh me too if that's ok! I have two stone I would like to lose - mainly for health reasons but I would also like to be a bit lighter for a holiday in the middle of the year to a sunny place. I think the problem with me is portion sizes and snacking - god the grazing never ends at this time of year!

Welcome every-one! Yes LuigiB it sure is the grazing time of year Xmas Sad. So when do you all plan to start? For me I've got a meeting booked with a Cambridge consultant on Wednesday 5th Jan but she's advised me to start reducing my carbs & increasing my water a couple of days before hand so I guess officially it'll be Mon 3rd. Have not got the strength to do so beforehand!

Hi peacenow - I plan to start from next week - it is ds' birthday on the weekend and although I have very good intentions I know the party food will defeat me. So Tuesday the 4th for me - it will be easier then as well as I go back to work on that day so no having food constantly in my face like at home.

I think that reducing carbs is vital too, although I don't think eliminating them is a good idea, my favourtie food though is potato anything so that is going to be a tough nut to crack...

I'm in too if thats ok - i lost two and a bit stone after having my ds on weight watchers. Not going to join a meeting this time (dont have the money) but going to try and follow the diet again!

Going to do a fitness plan too!!! Need to exercise at least three times a week - have at least another stone to go but need to tone up too!

Ahh how old will he be Lui? I know eliminating carbs is totally the wrong thing to do long term but I need to take drastic measure!!
For me potato's don't do anything for me, my problem is things like ham, cheese & wine!!

Aaww Goose, Im sure with some encouragement from us on here you will be just fine.

i was going to start today, then remembered dp and me are going out with friends for dinner tomorrow-think i may wait until after that then! I also cannot move for toys just now-so no room for exercise (well thats my excuse!) Smile

GooseFat I feel like that sometimes too - especially when I look at my past history of losing weight and the fact that ever since I can remember I have been addicted to sugar - so you are not alone. But this year will hopefully be different, I am a lot more positive than previous years and I think that will help!

I'm in. 2011 is definitely the year I want to get back to normal weight. It was on my list last year but I knew in my heart that other things matteted far more. this year, nothing does. I'm fed up of being dumpy and lazy and looking prematurely middle aged.

No diet here though. Just Paul McKenna and loads of exercise. Good luck to everyone - hope all our plans work out for us and we are all slim and fit by spring.

This might sound like a stupid question but wondered if anyone knows?

I have about a stone to lose and wondered if i could do it by doing hour of exercise 5 days a week and cutting down on wine so i have 3 or 4 vino free days per week. I don't eat loads, but have no willpower :( if i want a biscuit i just eat it! i just wondered if you really can do it with exercise pretty much alone??!!

MABS- i intend to do it with exercise alone, as i have managed to cut nearly everything else out that was 'bad' !! I eat everything in moderation-i have found there is no point in denying myself cos i just binge!

I am doing the 30 day shred, then hopefully going to alternate it with my 'your shape' disc for the wii.

I would think that cutting down wine would probably help too but im not sure how much 'extra' it would help you lose tbh.
