slimming after pregnancy - some kind of girdle??

How embarrassing, I recall hearing one of the Kardashian sisters Blush in some stoopid magazine saying that she lost her baby weight by putting on some kind of girdle / belt thing just afterwards and keeping it on for weeks on end. She reckoned it helped her to get back into shape quicker.

Please domeone come and tell me either a) what a brilliant idea this is and where I can buy one or b) that it's a stupid idea which I should not entertain

I don't think it will help - your muscles won't learnt to hold your tummy in if they are being helped all the time by a girdle. Better to do regular exercises - but make sure they are approved for just after giving birth, you need to do the right kind so as not to cause more harm than good. And a girdle certainly won't make any difference to your weight, unless it put you off eating I suppose!
