I am following the Neris and India's Idiot-Proof Diet and so far reading their books has been the single only thing that has spoken my language and given me the push I need. It is a high protein, low carb eating plan. While it is very good, it doesn't list everything so could use some ideas as per the thread title. Hopefully it will help others to.

My current wondering is about swede as I have prepped some for dinner and don't know if I can have it.

I am really surprised how well I am doing tbh. The only time I have been able to give up crisps, chocolate, etc and not over eat was when I was getting married as I didn't want the shame of not being able to get into my wedding dress.

Reading this book has really got inside my head as I have really weird food issues but I was only hurting myself.

I am doing the fitday calorie counter as well just for interest but following my book.

Would I expect to lose weight in the first week?

if you are low carbing and doing it correctly, you will probably lose weight after 3 days, which is why digital scales are a must.

I have bought new scales and they are digital. They tell me weight, water content and fat content. Friday is weighing day.

I lost 6lbs and my fat content is down.

I am bumping this as my period has started so I wanted to ask if there is anything I need to do differently and how much weight I can expect to lose in week two?
