Loss in first week

Hi there, I started a strict diet last Monday and weighed myself this morning after week 1 and was so so pleased that I have lost 6lb

I cant exercise at the moment as I had a C Section 5 weeks ago. I was just wondering whether everyone has a good first week and then in the following weeks the weight doesnt come off in such good amounts? What I am trying to say is, should I not expect to loose so much every week? This is the first time that I have dieted properly.

Thanks

that is a great start but unless you are significantly overweight you won't lose as much next week... it will steady out at about 2lb a week if you are being sensible!!

But what a great start -- well done!

The bad news is...no you probably won't lose that much in a week again, it's a starting off thing (it's your body going "Whoa! Where did all the food go?")

The good news is, as mancmum says, it's a great start, a boost to your morale and you know now that you can do it. Keep going but don't be despondent if your weight loss isn't so dramatic next week - slow and steady is the way to do it.

Thought as much, thank you.

I want to loose about another stone and a halve to get down to 9 stone 7 pounds.

I will keep at it, thing is my willpower is crap but I am pretty determined. Fingers crossed, thanks again.
