WW question about maintaining...

I did want to get down to about 8 stone 8 but I just can't get under 9. I have been doing ww since beginning of August and I lost the first 7lbs easily enough, but then weight loss stalled absolutely at 9 stone, even though I was still doing the same thing. I have been jogging, only about 3 miles but 2 or 3 times a week.

I'm now thinking, ok, I'll just maintain this weight loss (the 7lb) for a couple of months and then 'go at it again'. I don't know maybe my metabolism was getting used to the 18 points. (i was allowing myself about 22 on the days I went for a run). All my food choices were healthy too. I wasn't eating a bag of crisps and writing in 2.7 points. Moro bar 8 points, then go to bed at 4.30 pm to sleep through the evening!

I have been doing this healthily..... and yet I have just stalled absolutely.

I am only five foot nothing btw.

ps, oh yes, question IS, how many points are you supposed to allow yourself a day when you are just trying to maintain a weight loss. I was allowing myself 18 a day (except for when I went fo r a run).

From memory you add 6 I think. I'm maintaining at the moment and I'm on around 27 points a day.

I started on 24 points (I am still partly breastfeeding) but found I had to 'play' with the points towards the end in order to lose the last couple of pounds.

But you have to find the balance - you may find that you can eat more and maintain.

Thanks Ishtar. At the moment I'm on about 20 - 22, and I'll see if I've put on any weight next week. I certainly hope not. Eating more, but still making all the right food choices.
