New diet today: the 2/3 diet.

I am going to eat everything I normally eat (which isn't that bad, just too much!) but I am going to eat 2/3 of the amount I'd normally eat, ie 2/3 of a normal-for-me portion. I will cheat a bit by making sure the reduction happens in the fattier food-stuff departments, not the veg, or at least, not to the same extent. I am also going to cut down the snacking I do at work where there's always food.

What do you reckon?!

I am 5'6" and knocking size 18 in trousers as in some 16's fit, 18's fit but gape a bit at the waist.

I'll let you know how I get on!

Good luck! I'm on a "cut down by 300 cals a day" diet at the moment. Hoping that I can sustain it for a good while. Eating 1900 cals a day which isn't too bad - will probably end up doing pretty much what you're doing. Hope it goes well Smile

My problem is actually counting the cals! I did a diet once (the only other one I did, actually!) where I knew down to the last gram, the calorific value of everything which was really useful. I did tend to find my diet a bit restricted because I'd only eat the things I knew the value of and sometimes didn't get round to checking the values of 'new' foodstuffs.

Best of luck with yours, too, anyway!

Sounds like a good plan. I have found since I have lost my weight, my appetite is less than it was anyway, because I have got used to having less food, and there is less of me to fill up! :-)
