This is my second week and I've only lost 1 pound so far :( I'm sticking to my points allowance most days, some days I have been under, others day slightly over. I'm doing some type of exercise 4-5 days per week.

I've very disapointed. My leader said to make sure to weigh everything and drink more water.

I would have expected to be down at least 5 lbs by now. Can anyone give me some tips please!!

I find that if I eat any type of bread other than wraps or flatbreads, I don't lose weight, no matter the points. If I cut out bread and get my carbs otherwise, I can lose by sticking to my points. You might want to try this.

How much have you got to lose ? If it's not a lot and you weren't eating loads before then it could be slower than expected.

Showmeheaven · 05/10/2010 21:35

Leader said I have 2 stone to lose but tbh I would be happy with a stone - I think I would go too thin if I lost 2.

I am eating a slice wholemeal bread with WW cheese triangle for my morning teabreak, and then a sandwich with 2 slices of wholegrain bread with ham/tomato.

Interesting thought re the bread tho, it may be the reason I'm not losing but I have to bring a packed lunch into work and its very hard to think of practical alternatives.

I know it's boring but drinking a lot of water (2 litres daily) last week lost me 2 lbs (21 in total). Also have been having Epsom salt baths everynight. Supposed to release toxins but seemed to work. Google it.

lindaloopyloo · 05/10/2010 21:49

Also forgot to add: lady next to me hadn't lost anything for 3 weeks and then on the 3rd week she lost 6 lbs!!! So stick with it. It will fall off.

Thanks all. I'm diabetic and I've been finding it hard to control my blood sugar levels for the past year but since I started WW they have dropped to normal levels. Thats a huge plus for me. I will continue no matter how long it takes.

I weighed myself tonight, WW, here I come!
I have no menu planned, neither do I have WW friendly food, but I need to lost some weight.

I found the more exercises i did the less i lost. My first week i did 9lbs was well chuffed.

I lost 36lbs in 2 months it will start coming off trust me, water is key, i drink tonnes. xx

too much bread OP.

Not all points are created equal IYSWIM.

You need to ditch the mid morning bread and cheese and replace with fruit.

For lunch can you take in a salad, or a soup and salad?

I make huge Frittata at the start of the week using loads of veg, low fat yoghurt, ff cheese, sliced potato and eggs and then take a slice of it in with salad every day. It's delish.

In the evenings dont have any carbs at all, just your meat/fish and veg.

Oh and the water, agree with whoever said it, drink loads of water.

Good luck!

I think you need to be more accurate with your points. I needed to be exact every day. I couldn't save and then use them later. Also, are you eating your exercise points?

Definitely drink LOTS of water. Bread doesn't make any difference to me - but are you sure you're pointing your bread correctly? Some bread is worth a lot more than others.

rookiemater · 06/10/2010 17:45

Second what lindaloopyloo says, could be that you will see a large weight loss in 3rd week, plus huge weight loss in first week = water loss so as long as you are actually losing then I would say just stick with it

Showmeheaven · 06/10/2010 23:03

Thanks for the tips, the frittata sounds delicious and very practical for a packed lunch, great idea. I'll cut down on the bread and start drinking more water. Thanks everyone :)
