weight watchers working out points question

I am currently doing weight watchers and i bought some Ostrich steaks the other day. I am having it for tea tonight with pots and veg. I have had it before and know it is very low fat compared to beef. Anyway, i worked out the points per steak using the info on the box and it came to 2.5 points for a 170g steak. When i put it on the online tracker it came up as 5 points (similar points to beef fillet steak)so which points value do i use? The one i worked out from the nutrition info or the one off the weight watchers website?

I don't want to go over my points but i also don't want to out do myself by 2.5 points either.

Tell me what the calories and sat fat is and I will work it out for you on my old hand-held paper calculator that I have had since the year dot....

on the packet it says per 100g 86cal and 1g fat, so i was told to halve total fat to get sat fat so used the value 0.5g fat. the steak size is 170g.

i'm more confused over the WW website saying it is double what the packet says, which is right?

no don't halve fat to get sat fat, they are very different things. If you can get the sat fat you should be able to work it out but I would guess as an ostrich steak is meant to be lean I would go for 2.5 points if it is about the size of a chicken breast.

thanks, i'm sure i read in either the folder or was told by a leader that if there are no figures for sat fat on the label then just halve the fat value. I am going to group on thursday so will ask leader then
