Please don't go on about healthy eating and more exercise is better for you. I know all there is to know about it but I need a quick fix.
Its either low carb or slim fast and I can't do low carb so please tell me how slim fast worked for you Smile.

I'm thinking of it too so will watch with interest.

Jahan · 24/09/2010 16:53

Shall we just give it a go Coca? see how we get on?

I tired it and it did work but I didn't feel very good as it has so much sugar in it - flet dizzy and sweaty! Also was really bad for my teeth.

Good as a quick fix if you have an occasion but in the long term will damage your teeth and you will more than likely regain the weight!

Jahan · 24/09/2010 17:06

Thanks going
I don't deal with too much sugar very well.
I don't like the sound of it hurting my teeth either.

Perhaps a straw would be useful?

I think I'll give it a go for 2 weeks.
I have a wedding to go to at the end of October and don't want to buy anything new but nothing fits me Sad

I'm going for it! I did Lighter life for a 2 months and lost 2 stone, went on holiday only to find my counsellor had quit while I was away! Unfortunatly it was just the excuse I needed to give up. Slimfast should be a breeze after LL.

going · 24/09/2010 17:10

Just looked at the tin and the powder is 50% sugar! As it's really only for a couiple of weeks you should be fine.

Coca · 24/09/2010 17:13

50%!!! God maybe I'll try something else.

Jahan · 24/09/2010 17:16

That is high but quite a few breakfast cereals are around that too.

I'm desparate so I think I'll give it a go for a couple weeks.

going If you don't mind me asking, how much weight did you lose and how quickly?

I shall go shopping tomorrow and buy some.

Good luck Jahan

Jahan · 24/09/2010 17:34

Thanks Coca.
A shame (for me, not you) that you won't be joining me.

Good luck in your weight loss mission Smile

I just ordered the Dukan Diet book from Amazon! Very excited. It obviously won't be here until after the weekend so I might as well celebrate wine o'clock later Wink

going · 24/09/2010 17:55

I lost about 1 1/2 stone in a couple of months but I do have a lot of weight to lose!

Jahan · 25/09/2010 10:25

I want to lose about 10lbs to fit into my clothes (and more later!)

So I've started today. I bought some bottles of ones ready to drink so I could just see how I go for a couple of days.
They are not 50% sugar thank goodness!
7% sugar in the bottles.

If you go on to the powders I can recomend using a stick blender to mix them, it made a world of difference to the LL shakes Smile

Andie20521 · 25/09/2010 11:34

I lost half a stone on them in a 2 weeks, by having one shake for breakfast, the soup for lunch and a normal evening meal. I think that by not doing my usual trick of forgetting breakfast really helped, and I ate lots of fruit too. I then went on holiday, gorged myself silly and put it all back on!

I would do it again for a quick fix, but not sure long term.
