Can you tell me if there is a lazy soup out of a tin I can have if I have run out of my homemade stuff thats is relativley L/C please? Coming into the winter I do not relish the thought of salads for lunch in work.

Not sure what L/C is, hoping its Low Calorie rather than some fancy £40 a week diet...so excuse me if I'm butting in on something I know nowt about (although my butt is quite large at the mo).
I come from the land of 11st5 wanting to be 9st12. I'm finding the WeightWatchers soups quite OK although you only get a mugful they are all about 60 cals a tin.
But, depending on what you define as Low Cal, you can have a whole tin of Heinz Big Soup for less than 200cals, even the beef broth which is very filling.
If doing a 200/300/300 split with a 100cals for snacks, you could also fit in a little sandwich of Weight Watchers bread stuffed with free salad and tomatoes sticking it together.
If using the WW soups you could also fit in one of their dessert recipe yogurts, blimey they're delicious.
I don't follow any scheme, I take bits of each and exercise sensibly.

Well I realise now you must all be doing low carbs - not one for me although the occasional high protein day does give me a jumpstart.

Tortington · 23/09/2010 19:30

nope.

lowcarb megastore do some but the one i tried (veggie) was fkin awful.

i cant see a way of making your own LC soup - and making it truly LC

lots of people will come on im sure and tell you some LC recipes - but i think Lc is 20 carbs and under wheras others think its 50!

low carb chicken soup 5.5

Tortington · 23/09/2010 19:36

thats got carrots in - i would check the carb count vis a vis the portion - as it supposedly feeds 8 - the carrots worry me!

Teaspoon of Marigold Boullion into a mug of hot water. Add a good dollop of Philly Cheese this gives you a base.

Then add whatever protien takes your fancy. Shredded cooked chicken, ham, prawns, chorizo all work well. You can add some chilli flakes, herbs, ground pepper etc to add more flavour

My favourite is chopped up cooked broccoli with stilton cheese and a little cream on top.

The Marigold has 1.5 grams of carbs per teaspoon.
