Just found out today I have an underactive thyroid. Have been really tired (more than normal with 5mo) but also have been putting on weight despite dieting Confused
Now on pills to help.
Anyone else been in a similar situation. Did you lose weight?

Hi Tinky19,

I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid about 8 years ago. The pills help with the lack of energy but in my experience didn't really help with the weight gain - sorry. I joined WW after fighting the thought for many years and I've lost 3 stone in 18 months. I think the real option is carry on taking the pills and try to eat healthy. Good luck with both, Bren

hi there, I've been told my thyroid is sluggish, but probably not severe enough to need pills. It's so frustrating when your weight creeps up and you're eating healthily and exercising.

I'm taking korean ginseng, vitamin b6 and vitamin c each day. I've also removed wheat and caffeinated drinks from my diet and that seems to have made a real difference. After months of staying the same, or gaining, I've just lost 4lbs in one week. Hope this helps!
