Do you lie about your weight?

Opinions needed here....does your other half know what you weigh? If he/she asks do you tell them the truth or knock a bit off? Are they bothered?

Obviously if you are totally happy with your weight you might not care who knows what you weigh, but me and my OH have a difference of opinion as to whether women tell men the truth about their weight, so I said I'd ask on here...

(I'm not asking what you weigh btw!!!)

DH isn't remotely interested in what I weigh. If he wants to weigh me like some kind of prize specimen then he's most welcome.

dh doesn't care so i tell him the truth. he isn't interested in the slightest though and always starts pulling bored faces if i talk to him about that sort of stuff

I think maybe I have phrased this wrongly...if there is someone who WANTS you to lose weight, and they ask you about it and you are embarrassed etc, what happens then?

I have lied about my weight to DH. I am overweight, but I am very careful about what I eat, I had anorexia as a teenager.

He eats everything he wants in large amounts and it makes me so angry, that he is so judgemental about "fat" people. He should be one of them, but due to the luck of his metabolism he isnt.

I think people who are overweight often lie about their weight even to themselves.

I don't technically lie about my weight, I've just never mentioned the number to DH. I do plan on telling him what weight I am when I get to my goal weight.

ilove, if there is someone who wants you to lose weight and is going to make you feel embarrassed that you have not lost as much weight as they THINK you should, i think that you have a big problem, because that person is a twat and is treating you very badly

I don't think DH knows or cares what I weigh. I don't regularly weigh myself, but when I do, I would be honest with DH if he asked. The topic never really comes up, though.

No it never comes up in coversation as such.
I have put a lot of weight on and he is supportive when I rant and comes up with suggestions ( I don't mean eat less and exercise more!!) He says things like 'why not go back to such a such class? You used to like that.

dh knows what i weigh. He knows that I am tring to loose weight. He doesnt nag or say anything about what I am/have eaten or my weight.

I want to loose weight for me, not for him. My dad used to make fun of my mums weight for years when we were growing up, one of his choice names for her was 'porky'. amazing really as he is not of slim build.

My DH doesn't know what I weigh.....I'm too embarassed to tell him as I weigh a good few stone more than him! I'm size 20 and he has a 32ins waist!

If he directly asked me though, I would be truthful.

My DH knows how much I weigh. When friends are talking about weight I just decline to commit to saying my weight. I don't lie, I just stay quiet!

Dh knows what I way. we only weigh ourselves occassionally, and we both know exactly what eachother weighs. we now get the ds's occassionally (once or twice a year). they love it and think this is fab.

I lie. I tell him that i weigh the same as I did when I met him. Which is about 2 stone off the truth.

He has never ever questioned it or even raised an eyebrow. He just accepts it with a straight face.

B, so besotted with me that he hasnt noticed the 2 stone?
C, correctly assuming that questioning this will awake a raging and weeping beast that is best left sleeping?
Or D (most likely) not listening to a word I say when I speak of weight/weightloss and wouldnt know if I claimed to be 6 or 16 stone?

This does however make things quite tricky as I am currently trying to lose weight. when I celelbrate about having lost 2 stone and reaching my goal weight it will be umm... what i have been claiming to be all along...!

Actually, I don't know what I weigh now. All I know is that it is more than it was last time I weighed myself about 18 months ago and that was bad enough.

I don't lie, but I have certainly never told him (or anyone else). Like Sapphireblue, I weigh considerably more that dh.
