So, if waist to height ratio is the new BMI, what should your waist to height ratio BE?

Anybody know!? Mine seems to be a very high figure.... it'd be a decent exam result.

I do not want to know.

Very wise. I wish I'd never measured my waist and calculated mine. It is now confirmed. I'm a weeble.

It is such crap. Mine is 0.73 but I am a size 16 and overweight.

nikki1978 · 09/09/2010 18:34

It is supposed to be 0.7 (waist divided by hip in inches) to be healthy

Katisha · 09/09/2010 18:43

Mine is 0.72 recurring. THat's good then?

Katisha · 09/09/2010 18:44

And if it's so good how come I can't get a skirt or trousers to fit BOTH hips AND waist. It's either one or the other...

withorwithoutyou · 09/09/2010 18:47

Waist to height ratio or waist to hip ratio?

I always seem to get punished by the waist to hip one for being an apple shape with no hips!

Katisha · 09/09/2010 18:56

Waist to hip.
Well as a pear shape I can't find any clothes either! Who are they actually designed for?

Joby1970 · 10/09/2010 07:44

mines 0.74 - its not the new BMI tho (& BMI is crap too). it just means your are more actractive to the opposite sex (subconciously)as this ratio is supossed to show you are more fertile (or sommat like that)

ValiumSingleton · 10/09/2010 14:19

waist to hip ratio is the attractiveness one, but waist to height is the health one.
