Has anyone used the Wii Fit to exercise and lose weight?

I need to start something in October to lose weight and get more fit. I was thinking of using our Wii Fit. Has anyone done this?

A friend of mine did this. She lost quite a lot of weight. She also combined it with healthy eating though Grin

I enjoy Wii fit, it is fun and can spend a lot of time on it.

I used it a lot until I did my back in doing that bloody hula hoop thing in an over-exuberant fashion, and now I'm scared to go back to it.

I don't think I lost any weight, but I certainly firmed up a lot. Noticeably less flab.

if I can stop laughing long enough to keep going it works well :)

I plan to diet at the same time. I was just wondering how feasible it is to do at home and stick to.,

I bought my Wii Fit in April last year.

Did it daily for approx 2 months, then bought EA Sports Perstonal Trainer, did that til October (I think) followed on with EA Sports More Workouts & then Biggest Loser game for the Wii.

I got a lot fitter & lost approx 2 stone. It motivated me enough to buy an exercise DVD - Jillian Micheal 30 Day Shred (which is the best thing for doing at home I have ever tried).

Then in March this year I joined a gym. But I would never have got this far without starting on the Wii Fit first!

I used the wii fit for about 2 months and lost nothing. I am using the personal trainer bit now but too soon to say if I will lose anything.

I also tried to eat healthily - lts of fruit, veg, no takeouts etc (still had wine tho)

I had Wii fit for christmas and started to try and do it for an hour a day.
A bit boring though I thought.
Almost 3 months ago I joined Curves ladies only gym and go 4x a week after work. I certainly get hotter and sweatier (!) than I ever did using the wii fit.
I had lost 1 stone after 2 months of this and also eating pretty sensibly.
I use my wii fit now only to weigh myself once a week and to see the chart of my weight loss and bmi.
Still have some wine at weekends though and the odd peanut or 5 (have to be double ones though!)
