I hope I dont horrify too many people, but has anyone tryed slimming tablets? Herbal or otherwise?

I am considering using herbal slimming tablets as well as eating low fat meals, but wonder if they actually do anything?

Just wondering if anyone knew anything?

i have tried them - i used Phentermine about 4 months after having dd - lost a shedload of weight but put it all back on afterwards plus, think they are illegal in this country - WOULD NOT recommend them. my moods were hideous and they CAN be quite dangerous. Also tried Ephidrine which didnt do anything, there is a herbal alternative to ephidrine but they dont do THAT much. I have lost the weight i pit on after taking phentermine through good doet, willpower and excercise - sorry if im putting you off but its i feel i learnt through using them. It also depends on how much weight u want to lose. HPH.

I used slimming tablets - god knows what they were - about 20 years ago. They were prescribed by a dieting clinic.

I did lose weight with them, but felt as high as a kite, couldnt sleep, felt bloody awful and wouldnt do it again. I was only 20 at the time and I think I thought I was immortal - I wouldnt mess around taking something like that now though.

The herbal ones I have heard about before worked more like laxatives.

Well I started Adios herbal tablets today, they are recommended via the Weightwatchers website and sold in Boots and Superdrug, so I cant see that they will be harmful, particularly as they are herbal! I am also on a low cal diet, although my will power is crap! I have been good today (only day 1 though!!) but have found myself thinking about chocolate already!

I dont have too much weight to loose, so fingers crossed!

Nat77 - These are the same as Adios, but look at the price! I have bought some but forget to take them after my meal. If you search 'adios' on here you'll find some good feedback

Thanks Furball, cant believe the price difference! I paid £8.99!!
