Hi I am looking to loose at least 20 lbs but i have no idea how i am going to do this.

Obviously no more sweets, crisps, choco or takeaways.

But i am really crap, my will power is like non exsitant, which is why i am stil smoking also.

Is anyone else dieting or wanting to start, that wants to join me and lose weight together.

We can share tips, swap recipes and have a weekly weigh in to keep us motivated

Like i said i am looking to loose at lease 20 lbs,
I am currently 164 lbs

I've only got 2lbs left to go, so can't really be your diet buddy, but speaking as someone who's just lost 42lbs, you can definitely do it. You don't need to totally cut out sweets crisps chocolate and take aways, but you need to fit them in to a balanced diet and remember - everything in moderation!

I have one take away a fortnight, 2 or 3 squares of chocolate 3 or 4 times a week etc, but I fit it around a fairly low calorie, low carb/GI diet. Have a look at www.foodfocus.co.uk to see how many calories you should be having and are having.

Hi going yeh i am, to be honest it hasnt been going well, keep slipping up when i come across choco, ice cream and sweets.

How do you stop the temptation with children's treats in the house?!?!

I want to start running but didnt want to do it alone, the RL friend i was going to do it with is always working (two jobs)

What is ur starting weight if you dont mind sharing?

Mine is 164 lbs or 11st 10 lbs.

Goal 9st 5 lbs.

Hi Hai,

every week i say i am going to start my diet and i always fail, feel bad and eat more its a vicious circle.

I am now at my heaviest i have ever been and feel it its awful. I would love to be your diet buddy too!

i am 5ft9 and i weigh 12st 5 lbs i want to get back down to the 10st i was before having my boys. so thats a whopping total of 33 lbs Shock

i am going off food shopping for the week now, only buying healthy good food!!!

Hi iamamummy I would love to be able to buy healthy good foods but, i have a husband and DS who instist on getting "bad" foods.

TBH i think i am suffering from a bit of depression and some times dont feel like eating anything, but then when i get really hungry i just eat crap, which is why my weight has grow and have out on so much weight lately.

I'm 5"4 and am 11st 11lbs Shock I don't feel that big, but looking at photos/mirror always take me by surprise.

I'm trying really hard to persuade myself to eat more fruit and veg - even bought a melon to stop me raiding my sons choccie box !

I also bought a bikini in a size that i want to be on holiday next year. I'll probably never wear it in public, but that is my aim that i will look good in it anyway Grin

going - thats how i am, i never really saw myself as big but sometimes i catch a glimpse in the mirror and i do not like what i see! good for you getting yaself a bikini for a bit of encouragement! i however would not be caught in a bikini ever again after having children you cant see my stomach for all the stretch marks lol!

hai - i am trying to encourage my dp to join me but he loves to sit down in the evening with a chocci bar and a cup of tea which isnt good for my will power...

well we have each other now for encouragement and support! Smile

I'm fairly confident that i will never wear the bikini publicly, but i dream of the day that i will look good in it.

For the last couple of nights i've managed not to eat after my evening meal. This is really hard, but it worked last time so i'm willing to give it another go. Must try and motivate myself to get active though!

Hiya im doing allot better,

i didn't snack last night other than one mint vicount biscuit but i have become more active again. Got my Ex bike out and have been doing sit ups in the morning and evening.

Trouble is haven't got much healthy food in at the mo, so i am pretty much living on musili atm.

What made me think man i need to loose some weight, was when i saw the pretty big overhang (muffin top) over the top of my size 10 jeans, it took me alot of effort and time to get down to that size last year, i am so annoyed with myself for putting the weight back on.

Luckly i noticed i had to loose weight before i put it all back on. 13st has been my heaviest.

Oooh, size 10 good for you! Great thing is that you know you can do it.

I saw that size once as i went past it Grin

I would love to be a size 14, although i'm quite big on top so may never get down past a 16. Can boobs get significantly smaller?

Not been too bad today, although have just had some cake - my parents have been visiting Smile

tbh I cant do it "normally" when i lost all the weight last time i had a ED (i didnt eat), i really wanna lose the weight heathly this time and dont want to put any more on as im afriad it may start again.

You can make ur boobs smaller by losing weight my mate was a EE cup and has lost loads of weight and she is now a C.

Sorry Hai Sad didn't see the bit about your ED. Hope that you start feeling better soon. Did you manage to dig the bike out and go for a ride?

I know that when i was running shuffling it made me feel better, or at least when i could breathe again Grin Great news about the boobs though, my dh will miss them but my shoulders sure won't!

Mainly running mixed with a few short weight sessions in the gym, not many though! Then it's cutting out the chocolate, the biscuits and the cake (ouch!!)

Yeh my exercise bike has now moved from the cuboard to the bedroom and i try to use it for atleast 10mins a day.

When DS starts school again, i will start running again as i will have the time alone to do so.

Today i had some musli for breakie dont knoe what i will have for lunch tho.

Does anyone know if homemade tuna pasta bake is good or bad?

Its just its my fave meal i would hate it if i couldnt have it very often anymore.

Hai - don't know if tuna bake is good or bad but it sounds great! If it's got cream in maybe sub for low fat variety.

I finally started running again today Smile although my legs are really tired now. When i get to the end of the 10 weeks i'm sure i will be a lean trim running machine - or the same as i am know but with a very red face Grin

I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow and report back here. Good luck to all you other ladies, how's it going?
