I ned to loose 10lbs in the next 2 weeks - is it possible?

...and how do I do this.

Im planning on walking to work everyday and eating porridge for brekkie, fruit for lunch and some crackers perhaps and meal in the evening - prob fish or chicken with lots of veg...no carbs.

What do you think?

The walking probably won't make a massive difference, but if you start doing the 30 day shred now (sorry, I am a broken record) within 2 weeks you will start to see results. Combine that with a low carb diet, and you should see good weight loss.

Disclaimer - blah blah not healthy to lose weight this fast, most of the weight you'll lose will be retained water, so you are likely to put it straight back on. I'm guessing it's for a holiday though, so I understand Wink

I've lost 7lbs in one week and done no excercise but in that time I have eaten 4 squares of chocolate and 4 pitta bread with taramosalata and nothing else.

walking helps me focus and I do quite liek it so will keep it up I think.

I too would like to loose a 'chunk' of weight in next two weeks, maybe 4lb? I am starting the shred tonight minus any weights though!

Shall we stick together flippertyflop for motivation? Overall i am needing to loose a stone but every little counts

do the Dukan diet on attack mode for 5 days and then go to cruise. I lost 10lbs in 10 days and 1 month later it is still off so it does work....

What is shred and what is Dukan? I usually do the Atkins for a couple of weeks. Am I doing the wrong thing?

Yes MollieO. Highly unhealthy but effective. Is because I am stressed out and I find it very easy to stop eating when that is the case.

since yesterday cutting out carbs, alcohol, chocolate and crisps...had oats for brekkie, crackers and laughing cow, salad for lunch, and salmon and stirfy last night have lost 2 lbs!!!!

I want to lose a stone. I have 3 weeks until ds goes back to school, so was hoping to atleast lose a few pounds, so much so that playground mums would notice. Trouble is I'm on holiday for the next 2 weeks.

If you have 4 stone to lose, then you'll want to lose it over the space of about a year, otherwise you could do yourself damage.

I'd recommend something like www.foodfocus.co.uk to get you started as it has a breastfeeding option. It gave me a target of 1650 calories a day when I was breastfeeding, and I lost 2stone in 5 months with it.

I found the Harcombe Diet the way to go. 10 pounds in 10 days, felt on top of the world.

Its basically a low carb diet. Phase 1 is a detox, lots of protein, veggies and salad. Limited carbs (50g or brown rice, rice pasta or oats a day). You also don't mix your protein and carbs together.

It works on dealing with 3 primary sources of cravings: Candida (for those cake/bread cravings), hypoglycemia (for those sugar highs and lows) and intolerences (wheat for bloatedness etc).

Its not a crash diet, you eat plenty of fish, eggs, meat, salad, veggies and can eat as much as you like - it just has to be the right stuff.

yes its do able, i lost 7 pd first week of slimming world plan, and i am not hugely overweight bmi 27 at the time, however i did loads of exercise, circuits, spinning etc.

otherthing you could do is the low carb shakes like lighterlife or tony ferguson ?

would recommend for long periods but i lost 12 pd in 10 days with them b4.

i had not realised that dukan was the new name for atkins equivalent. high protein no carb. as a diabetic carbs are my basis. so i think as bannatyne would say 'i'm out'.

I wouldtry lean meat for breakfast, soup for lunch and salad in the evening.

I think it wouldbe hard to lose that much in 10 days. Drink a lot of water

LIKE YOU I NEED TO LOOSE WEIGHT. HUBBY N I ARE HAVIN OUR WEDDING BLESSING ON 11/9 AND AM CURRENTLY LOOKING AT OUTFITS ESP DRESSES TO WEAR. OMG, I LOOK LIKE A BEACHED WHALE!
MY OVERALL FRAME IS NOT THAT BIG IN MOST OF THE TIME I SHOP FOR SIZE 14. THE PROB I HAVE IS THAT LIKE MANY MUMS I HAVE THE TUMMY WHICH HAS GONE SOUTH AND APART FROM A TUMMY TUCK THEIR IS LITTLE CAN DO. HOWEVER AM OVERWEIGHT AS MY IDEAL IS AROUND 10 STONE AND AM CURRENTLY 12.5.
IF I WANT A PRETTY DRESS WHICH IS FOR MY AGE GROUP (39) THEN I NEED TO GET A FLATTER TUM!
EITHER THAT OR A GRIDLE!!! OH DEAD FLATTERING!!

I've lost 9lb in 2 weeks, with the rosemary conley 'amazing inch loss diet' i'm doing the exercises too. Really pleased with it. My next weigh in is this mon.

Totally works. But only if you can face making and drinking only juice. If you dislike juice this probably isn't for you.....

I would second the Jason Vale. I lost 10lbs in a week, put 2lbs back on within a couple of weeks but kept rest off.

After the initial caffeine/sugar withdrawal I felt great from 4/5 days in, increased energy and people commented on my skin/hair looking well.
