It's no good grinning like that yorkie!!!

You have 4 to lose, I have 3, and we'll still only be back where we were!!!

I see nothing to laugh about!!

fatmomma · 21/08/2005 22:16

Aggghhhh! Temptation everywhere! I did some baking for my friends daughter's christening today and she bought me a present to say thank you - a Terry's chocolate orange. I can hear it calling to me from the pantry!!

Fennel · 22/08/2005 08:44

sorry yorkie, missed the deadline as it was so soon after last weeks one. no change for me. exercise regime gets too disrupted in school holidays.

just had dd2's 4th birthday party. 19 children. does everyone drink wine rather too fast during children's parties? or is it just me . still, was too busy with the wine to bother about all the cake etc.

fatmomma is it dark or milk chocolate? I cna resist the latter but not the former.

BethAndHerBrood · 22/08/2005 13:37

Afetr a major pig out on saturday i am now firmly back on the plan!! I even threw out half a bottle of wine to stop me drinking it!!!!

You see, i am dedicated!!!

I'm not telling anyone it was the fifth bottle of wine i'd opened since friday!!!!

Think i need to go into trouser therapy - it worked last time!!

Fennel · 22/08/2005 13:57

threw out wine! was it already vinegar? that is serious.

I sent the excess cakes and biccies from dd2's party to DP's work. he tells me a really fat guy eats most of the cakes. feel bad for encouraging someone else's weight problem....

fatmomma · 22/08/2005 22:34

It was milk choccy fennel, but sadly for my waistline it's now all gone. DS managed to put away 4 segements but I'm ashamed to say that I polished off the rest .

fatmomma - you have a waistline? I want one of those

MarsLady · 23/08/2005 10:15

I have decided, cos I be a try anything once kinda girl, to try the new Oz diet. I shall be starting tomorrow, so will endeavour to get some scales today.

I have my copy of the Times, T2, and am currently reading it and making my shopping list.

What with a Christmas meetup coming... a girl's gotta do...

BethAndHerBrood · 23/08/2005 11:59

I did quite well yesterday, feeling a bit more optimistic about it today. TBH, i was feeling a bit pi$$ed off about the whole thing, 3lbs on in a week ffs! But i can't blame anyone but me, so just need to buck my ideas up and "regain control" as my consultant says!

fatmomma · 24/08/2005 00:46

Fennel - waistline may be exagerating a little. In the words of the great Victoria Wood 'it's not exactly a waist, more of an unmarked level crossing' .

Loobz · 24/08/2005 10:01

I am so glad that I don't have any sweets or crisps in this house at the moment. I have never been so bored in my life and am struggling to stay on this plan. Girls from work are coming to take me out for lunch and I shall do my best to 'chose wisely'.
Roll on Friday until I get this damned plaster off and hopefully my life can then return to it's usual chaotic state of normality.
I have also just been asked if I will make Christmas cakes for a couple of friends - it's only August and I haven't even been on holiday yet - aarrgghh!!!!

Fennel · 24/08/2005 10:30

Loobz, i was irritated by the first christmas catalogue arriving this week (traidcraft). but it didn't stop me ordering a crate of wine. well, it's fairly traded, so it's a good thing to support, right?

was surprised to find I've lost 1lb this week despite generally piggy behaviour. that's still 2lb above what i was before the holidays but still, at least a step back in the right direction.

Loobz · 25/08/2005 12:15

Went out for lunch yesterday but did I 'chose wisely'?............No Then ds2 gave me chocolate at night cos i was crabby
Am motivated today though. Should get this plaster off tomorrow and only four weeks to my holiday [panic emoticons......lots of them]
Won't even get weighed in class next week as my consultant is away on holiday and there is no cover for the class. If I've mainatined this last two weeks I'd be happy but we'll see!

BethAndHerBrood · 25/08/2005 12:38

I've lost 2.5 lbs this week! I am very pleased with that, as i'd slipped a bit on saturday! Another half pound and i'll be back where i was.

Why isn't it as easy to get thin as it is to get fat??!!

Loobz · 25/08/2005 17:21

Well done BAHB If only we could lose it as easy as we put it on
Not long to your hols now either, when do you go?

BethAndHerBrood · 25/08/2005 18:43

We go on 14 sept. three weeks to go!!!!!

Tried my cossies on today - ones too big!! WooHoo!!!! But even so, leaves a bit to be desired!! I can feel a lot of sarong wearing coming on!!!

sassy · 26/08/2005 10:40

PUt 1lb back on this week.

Bugger. that'll teach me to eat food.

Well done to losers!

Loobz · 26/08/2005 15:11

Just back from hospital and they took my plaster off.....BUT.....they put a new one on for another two weeks It's a walking plaster this time which means I can at least walk instead of having to hop with these crutches. I just feel so p'd off, was so psyched up for getting plaster off and hoping to get back to work next week.
On a silly note though I had some chocolate when I came back and I've had a really bad upset stomach since - that'll teach me
