Starting weight loss journey - pills or injections

BMI is 29 and I'm looking into the new weight loss pills after losing and gaining the same 10lbs for years. I'm relatively fit (work out regularly, walk every day) don't drink, and don't eat ready meals, crisps etc. Yet still, here I am needing to lose around 2 stone
I get that the pills are new, but is anyone aware of any disadvantages of pills over injections, any pitfalls I should be aware of? And any providors you would recommend? Thanks in advance.

The Wegovy tablets are slightly less effective than the Wegovy injections, and both are a bit less effective than Mounjaro injections. But Mounjaro is a lot more expensive.

Tablets are easier to store than injections as no need to refrigerate. They are also not available yet, even though places will let you pre-order, they won't be sending them out until early July assuming no issues with the supply chain.

The instructions for taking the Wegovy tablets are quite specific - 8 hours without food beforehand, and then 30 minutes minimum after before eating or drinking anything else. The injections have no requirements like that.

You usually need a BMI of over 30, unless you are certain ethnicities in which case you'd need a BMI of over 27. Or unless you have a weight related health condition where it would also be a BMI over 27. There are a couple of pharmacies, Voy and MedExpress, who will prescribe off licence to people with a BMI over 25 and no other requirements.

Have a look at https://monj.co.uk/mounjaro-price-comparison-by-monj/ for a list of GPhC registered pharmacies showing prices for Mounjaro injections. There's also https://igovy.co.uk/wegovy-price-comparison-uk/ for Wegovy injections. I haven't seen a price comparison for the Wegovy tablets as yet, prices seem to be about the same as the injections.

If you've never tried a GLP1 the Wegovy pill is definitely a serious contender purely from a financial standpoint.

As far as I've seen, the prices are the same or more expensive than the injections?

eg Asda Online Doctor have the injections at £88.97 and the tablets for £98.97.
or Pharmacy2U injections are £94.99 whereas the tablets are £109.99.
