Anyone considering a tummy tuck after losing weight with injections?

so decided I’m going to treat myself to a tummy tuck since I’ve lost 4 stone on WLI. Got about half a stone to go then I’ll say goodbye to the c section overhang

has anyone else decided to have one since losing the weight?

it is hard work Ive learnt so much about what I was actually eating compared to what I thought I was eating. People who think it’s the easy option good luck keeping on the path for a year 2 years 3 years or however long. But I’m to stubborn to be beaten and now officially healthy bmi and doing well I think stuff it it’s my body my money my life I’ve worked hard let’s enjoy it. Hubby is super supportive as he’s like “I’ll get the benefits “😉

And no amount exercise will remove loose skin. If you have fixed an overhang with exercise then it wasn't skin it was a muscle issue.

Isn't anybody going to say how much they have been quoted to have it done? And where? (just UK or which other country would be helpful).

I have spoken to a clinic in uk ( would never go abroad not worth the risk ) they have a guide price of 15-20 but can’t confirm cost until I have my consultation in next few months so far we have discussed breast uplift with implants for a fuller look (not going bigger they are big enough at a E just fuller and where they should be ) a tummy tuck to remove c section overhang and a small amount of lipo to contour. I would rather not say the clinic as I feel every one should make their own mind up after their own research but you can dm me to ask

Thanks @Happylittleday I knew it would be expensive, but that's twice as much as I thought £15k to £20k is a LOT of money. Oh well.

And yes you're right, it's too risky having it done abroad. What if you need to go back? Anything could happen.

Honestly for me it’s not worth the risk. I get cost drives people but I’d rather spend the extra and be safe. Clinics here advise not to fly for 6 weeks but you can fly home a week after if you go abroad 200 odd people on a plane high infection risk etc the risks go one and on.
I’ll update when I have my consultation with exact price for exact procedure but for me it’s in the price bracket I was expecting

I had a tummy ruck, breast reduction and uplift with lipo in 2019. Best thing I ever did. Having all the loose skin after losing so much weight made me feel worse than when I was fat. I adore my tummy and look at it in the mirror every day and smile.

I've lost 6.5st and will be looking at a few consultations soon - definitely UK rather than abroad.

For me I don't mind so much a bit of loose skin or stretch marks but the actual overhang really bothers me. I'm quite tall and long bodied so jeans and a top always exposed the overhang or even dress when the breeze blows shows it off.

same here not tall though a shortie at 5ft but I’ve had 3 children so yes there’s stretch marks yes there’s wobbly skin it’s more I’d like the overhang removed and now kids are all grown up and I’m not having any more I though sod it let’s pick these boobs up too 😂the dream is to wear a strapless dress with no bra.

I have G cup boobs that look like spaniels ears, inner thighs look like they've melted, my stomach is also melted and loose and my upper arms have a good 3" of skin that bags when I hold an arm up.

No moisturising or exercise regime will give people like me a flat stomach or perky tits that stand up on their own ever again.

That’s so nice to hear. I am excited and I am body proud now I’m a bikini wearer I don’t care if other don’t like how I look but this is for me to say you work hard you lost weight you raised 3 amazing children it’s your time now

I work in beauty and have lost six stone.
Sadly I had a massive ovarian tumour removed last year so after two other stomach ops that bit of me looks like 'proving bread'. I'd love it all done but I have RA too so no cosmetic ops for me. My consultant would stop it.
If you can afford it and have good facilities at home so you can recover ( get a higher loo seat as you may not be that mobile) go for it.

I had one 32 years ago after having polyhydramnios. I was quite petite and in late 30s with an overhang. Best thing I did. Now late 60’s this is the first year I’m wearing the top half of my bikini! I don’t care what people think about my now wobbly bits. I don’t go around judging others!

This absolutely isn't true in general. It might be true for you but you are one of the lucky few.

My loose skin and overhang is so bad that the surgeon I consulted said I couldn't just have a tummy tuck as enquired about, but I would need a 360TT, where they do the whole circumference of your waist the whole way round and I may also need a fleur de lis at the front which is a vertical scar, hip to bust to pull the skin taught vertically as well as horizontally.

No amount of drinking water or working out could improve that a bit.

@ItchyDoggyDawg I saw a 360 on botched ( the two American guys correcting it). It might be on YouTube. They are very well respected in the cosmetic world. Big op though

Yes, it’s my plan. I still had a massive disproportionate belly when I was down to 30 BLI. I came off the injections due to cost and gained weight back and it’s even worse. Back on the jabs now and when I have an acceptable BMI I’ll be having the surgery.
