Hi all - I am woefully ignorant about WLIs so thought this would be the place to ask the questions?

I'm currently on VLCD that says its GLP-1 compatible. But, if I'm already on 500-800 calories a day, with a nutritionally complete diet, what can WLIs help with?

Would I eat even less than what is daily for VLCD?

Do WLIs mean people eat their normally recommended deficit based on TDEE or does it mean people eat similar to VLCD?

I just don't know if WLIs will work for me, alongside VLCD, or should I get a consultation to ask?

Thanks so much and hope everyone is smashing goals whatever the chosen method!

When I started WLI I remember being quite sensitive to the medication and probably only managed 800 cals a day initially, I did focus on nutrition, protein and hydration and lost weight quite rapidly, it slowed down after about 6-8 weeks and levelled out to 1-2 lb a week, I was also able to increase my calorie intake after a few weeks which made me feel better & gave me more energy, my blood sugar responded well to the GLP meds and inflammation in my body reduced as did my B/P. I had a lot more weight to loose than you have so focused on sustained long term goals I could stick with. I definitely could not have done this journey without a GLP , it gave me willpower, the side effects have been fairly easy to manage and definitely worth it for how I’m feeling now, 46kg lost, normal bmi, lots of energy and able to exercise and enjoy life. It seems like you have great willpower, good luck on your journey whatever you decide to do 🙂
