The average weight loss on MJ is 20%, for those that have reached or close to goal has this been true for you?

I have lost 40.8% of my weight, but am a slow loser as this is an average of 1.07 pounds a week over 78 weeks, so not sure where I would fall in this journey as over a longer time but I had weeks (many where I stayed the same, the only month I lost more was the first month where I lost 9 pounds) I had type 2 diabetes (now in remission), high cholesterol, (now normal) and fatty liver, now resolved, my BMI has gone from 34 to 21 at the age of 61 I feel healthy for the first time in my life. I had absolutely no side effects, apart from appetite suppression, and will stay on this for life.

Although Mine is over 78 weeks I lost the majority in the first 12 months and then am sort of going up and down each week as I maintain.

How has this been for you in the terms of percentage and side effects. According to a report those who felt the most nausea lost the most weight, which makes sense but a study carried out by 23andMe showed there was a connection with a gene and greater weight loss, the same gene makes you feel more sick, also makes you lose weight faster.

I consider myself a slow to average loser but I was fighting age related menopausal belly fat that was determined it had found a home for life, I am also quite sedentary since having metal work in one of my legs so, this loss was almost purely diet alone.

I have lost 51% of my starting weight, 9st 4lbs lost altogether in 14months on mj. I look and feel like a completely different person. Loving my life and exercise has become a doddle. I’ve been overweight my entire life so this new life at the age of almost 46 is very exciting for me. And I will never come off mj, life changing and worth every penny.

Over 50pc but I started at 22 stone BMI over 40.

Almost 35% in just over a year and been maintaining for nearly a year. 110kg down to 72-74kg. Can't seem to get any lower but my BMI is 22.5-23 so that's fine. I get a few days of nausea post jab even now and either constipation or diarrhea. Still worth it! Struggled with weight since childhood, under active thyroid. I may need GLP-1 or similar for life.

I have lost 35%. Been on it almost 2 years but not lost anything in last 6 months of that so am starting to reduce dose.
I didn't really have a goal, just wanted to get into healthy BMI category but I am still just above that (26-27) and have had to concede that, at the age of 66, my body does not want to go there.

I’m almost the same! 35% lost, 18 months on Mounjaro but nothing lost since January. I’m 57 and the scales will not shift! Very strange after seeing a loss every week for so long.

I lost almost 40% in 9 months on max 3.75mg dose. Been off it a few months now, no weight gain so far.

HappyHacienda · 14/05/2026 07:57

Took it tor 6 months
Lost 43lbs - that’s 22% of my body weight
Stayed on the lowest dose 2.5
I stopped taking it 6 weeks ago.
Continuing to monitor calories, going to the gym and haven’t put on weight.

Just checked … 24.8% loss from 12 st 12 to 9 st 9. I’m 5’2” and in my sixties but have also hugely increased exercise and have always been solid rather than flabby (wearing size 8-10 from a size 16 ) so although BMI is right at the top of healthy range I’m happy here and looking to maintain.
