Healand Clinic reviews

I’ve read the older threads of people’s experiences of success microdosing via The Healand Clinic and now that it’s 6-12 months after those threads started, was just wondering if anyone can update their experience please?

I’ve just signed up and wondering what to expect? I’ll be starting on 0.5mg MJ for first 2 weeks then up to 1.0mg for second 2 weeks.

I’m a bit nervous about injecting myself. Also wondering if they will make any difference at all?

I only have 1 stone that I want to lose. I already eat healthily, never snack, and work out several times a week. But perimenopause and hypothyroidism is making that 1st impossible to shift.

I also don’t want to stay on it forever, so if you did manage to lose a small amount of weight via microdosing, did you manage to keep it off after stopping the injections?

TIA

Omg, because I don’t want this thread to be about that. I don’t speak for the clinic, I’m not advertising them or promoting them.

I’m not going to go into what I discussed with them or any other private doctors I have discussed this with.

If you would like to know the details of their practices, or any other private clinic, then by all means, have a consultation and ask them. I’m not here to educate you.

I’m here just to ask those who have been through this clinic and come out the other side, what their experiences have been.

Gosh calm down, no one is questioning you taking the meds off label, what’s being said is there are no vials licenced im the uk, they are decanting it and you’re taking basically nothing, any impact will be pschyosomatic. And they are charging you up the waahoo for it. They must be raking it in

its not even micro dosing, which is taking small amounts more often, and the medical community are divided as it looks like it just has a placebo effect.

0.5 is a crazy minuscule amount, there is no way it has an impact,

@Beachforever- come over to this thread, I think there is someone who is also using Healand. https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/weight-loss-injections/5509897-bmi-under-27-off-labelless-to-lose?utm_campaign=thread&utm_medium=app_share

I am also microdosing and yes, I can feel the effect from a small amount. Every body is different. I had such a huge reaction to the starter Wegovy dose, that I’m microdosing the rest at the moment. So far, so good but it’s early days.

@NoTouch OP doesnt owe you an explanation! If you don’t have the answer to her question scroll on by, by all means ask a question if you’re “interested” but she doesn’t owe you a response anymore than she can force you to answer her original question.

People are so triggered by the Healand clinic, it’s bizarre! I have also signed up and I will put myself in the “not concerned about their method of prescribing and dispensing” category. OP would be getting just as much flack if she bought a kwik pen and counted clicks herself to microdose. Essentially, MN doesn’t like the idea of microdosing GLP1s, or people with a normal BMI having access to it. On Reddit both of these things are much more common (US-based) and there is much more support!

Not sure that’s true, I see loads of people counting clicks on here and some pharmacies are prescribing at bmi 25. I do see people taking issue with folks lying to get them.

personally I’d lie to get them before I saw someone taking me for a mug and ripping me off. Which is what this is. They must be making a fortune.

at wholesaler rates they will by a 15mg pen for about 200 pounds . From that they will get 30 doses of 0.5. At what 50 quid a dose? So a mark up of 1300 pounds per pen. Or 650 if 1mgs. Sure they have to habe some poor sod sit and decant it into vials. But absolutely if lie before I got taken for a mug. I’d buy my own 2.5 pen, and use it for two months by counting clicks.

mumsnet isn’t a hive mind. People all have different opinions. But I’ve been on mounjaro for about 2 years or so now, and absolutely I’d not pay knowingly for someone to rip me off like this.

I used Healand and started on 1mg. The most I went up to was 3.5mg and I lost my target of 1.5st in 3 months. No side effects. I thought their service was excellent. I've come off it now and obviously have to eat carefully but I'm not bad at maintenance, just wanted to shift that amount to get back to my happy weight. I would recommend them.

Thank you, that’s exactly what I was hoping for from this thread.

Can I ask how long you have been off it? And have you managed to keep all the weight off you lost?

Hi, I've been off it for about 8 weeks now. Put on about 3 pounds but seems stabilised now.
If you have any other questions please do ask :)

Wowisthisit · 22/06/2026 15:23

So do you have to inject yourself which is different to the pens which you click and it injects you?
I am terrible with needles and I think I can do a pen but not inject myself.
My BMI is about 23 but I've put on a stone in less than a year as I've gone into peri. I am still exercising, weight training and eating carefully but it is just sticking.

most of the Mounjaro and Wegovy pens (except 7.2mg) you screw on a needle and insert into yourself before pushing down on the plunger (Mounjaro) or pressing a button (Wegovy) to dispense the medication.

The needle is tiny 4-6mm usually and although it is scary the first couple of times you get used to it very quickly. If you look on YouTube at pharmacy videos they will show you how to inject so you can see what it looks like.

if you microdose via The Healand then they give you 4 pre-prepared syringes/needles with the required dose. It is no different to the pens with regards to injecting. If anything it is slightly easier.

You can also get full dose pens from them.

Hi! I have an appt consultation today and wondering how your experience has been with losing weight. I’m a healthy BMI but have some stubborn weight I need to lose!

How did you get on?

It arrives today! Had a long chat with the doctor about my life, height, weight, reasons for wanting WLI’s etc.

Beachforever · 26/06/2026 10:46

@thepittfan my weight loss has been good.

I started on 1mg for first 4 weeks, then 1.5mg for the next 4 weeks. Over those 8 weeks I lost 4.6kg.

I then switched provider, got a Kwikpen and increased my dose to 2mg and lost another 2kg over 2 weeks.

I’ve now hit my target weight and maintaining on a micro dose via counting clicks.

Were you a 'healthy' BMI when you started microdosing? And was it easy to switch provider once you had been accepted by Healand.

Yes, my bmi was in the healthy range, but I was a stone over the weight I had always been due to peri and hypothyroidism. I’ve now lost that stone that I’ve been trying to lose for 5 years!

I’ll be honest, when switching, I took a couple of inches off my height and a put couple of kilo’s onto my original starting weight. They wanted a photo and I sent a very unflattering one.

I then switched again recently to a maintenance provider and haven’t fibbed at all this time and it was all approved and sorted very quickly with my current BMI of 21.

Thank you for this. It is just a stone I need to lose. Peri has got me and no matter how much I am cutting back and exercising it just isn't shifting. I don't want to be buying a new wardrobe of clothes and the BMI I have always been is 21 so nothing silly.
I am not great with needles, how did you find injecting yourself? Sorry for all the questions.

thepittfan · 26/06/2026 11:04

Happy to answer! For health reasons, probably 5kg. I’m very tall and hold weight across my belly, so it feels very noticeable to me and I’ve sat around that weight for a while. According to my belly measurements, I’m pretty firmly overweight but my BMI is on the border of healthy/overweight. For aesthetic reasons, probably 10kgs. I’m considering using this prescription as a jumping off to get a kwikpen in the future.

That’s ok.

I hate needles. I have feinted having vaccinations so it was really hard for me to get my head around. I was very nervous to start with and had to build myself up all day to do it. But honestly, it’s fine. The needle is so tiny and you don’t feel it at all. Just grab a pinch of fat and pop it in. I think the fact that it’s not going into a vein and is completely painless is much easier.

I do find the Kwickpens trickier than the pre-filled syringes. Because there is much more faffing with the pens.

I had to have bloods taken a couple of weeks ago and I was still on the verge of feinting and got myself quite worked up despite having spent the past 10 weeks injecting myself without any problems!

This is reassuring! Sorry to jump on all your posts beachforever but I think we’re on very similar journeys! Good to know because I’m a little nervous about the needles but reassuring to know it’s fine (not sure why I’m worried as I’m covered in tattoos…!)

Brilliant, thank you so much. I think this is the way forward for me. I am a fainter too with blood tests. I am ok with botox though so I guess its similar in the way its not going into a vein and its a tiny needle.
