I've been on mounjaro for 5 weeks this friday. I've lost over a stone so far. I don't know the exact lbs lost because I have ovulation bloating but it's definitely over a stone. (I'm often 5-7lb heavier during ovulation and period).

Anyway, I'm back to work on Thursday after nearly 2 weeks annual leave. I'll be seeing some people who I haven't seen for 5 weeks + because we're shift workers.

One of the biggest changes is my face - I still get a shock every time I look in the mirror.

I've always struggled with body image, from about the age of 12 when I certainly was not overweight 🙄

I'm losing weight for a few reasons, health being the main one but also to potentially start IVF if needed. It's all a bit overwhelming and I'm just dreading the questions starting!

Any tips from those who have already been through that stage?

A lot of people won't comment at all for fear of offending, thank goodness. I've no idea why some people think it's ok.

I've told very few people - 4 in total incl my DH. None of them would comment on my weight or weight loss unless I brought it up first.

A few people have commented that I've lost weight. I've lost 6 stone so it is noticeable. Mostly they just say I look good so I just say thank you and move on.

I've not had to deal with any anti-wli stuff in real life fortunately.

I had lost over 3 stone before the comments started, I'm close to a 5 stone loss now and am starting to hear "you're disappearing" erm, no, still 5 pounds until I'm no longer obese and merely overweight!

I’ve gone down from 160kg to 115kg in about 18 months, slow but steady progress, which is fine as I’m menopausal and on HRT so happy with how it’s going. I’m quite tall but I was obviously very big to start with and a way to go yet, but I feel loads better, clothes don’t look so awful on me now and more importantly I have put my diabetes into remission. Yet only one person has mentioned that I’ve lost weight, I just said ‘yes I’m working on it’. I prefer not to be constantly talking about it, so it suits me, but the reality is people hardly ever say even if they do notice.

That sounds a bit annoying! Well done though!
