Only want to lose two stone

Really want to lose two stone for up and coming summer events. Got quite a lot on and my clothes aren't fitting as nicely, I do exercise a lot but am currently injured so have gone into a bit of a panic.

Considering 2.5mg of mounjaro, lots of friends have used it for more substantial weight losses and they've done amazing!

How much did people generally lose on the 2.5mg dose? Obviously I can't exercise at the moment as I usually would so I'm hoping I can be on mounjaro for a month or two until I'm back fighting fit!

In questioning myself now whether to even take the Mounjaro. I'm 10lb down in three weeks (only 1lb loss this week) which is slightly disappointing but I've been in a calorie deficit every single day. Some days I'm only eating 900 calories which I know is bad, I don't know whether the MJ will actually help me going forward!

I'm drinking a lot of water, hitting my protein goal and keeps carbs and fat, especially sat fat low. Can start exercising a bit more now too which I guess will help me going forward.

My opinion is that weight loss injections are for people with a lot more weight to lose.

If you are only “on the cusp” of meeting the criteria with this relatively small amount of weight to lose I would try other means.

Although very effective for many people (myself included) there are risks of side effects and the definite risk of losing money!

Your choice of course though.

What an odd opinion from someone on them. She’s obese, the meds are absolutely for her.

If you can do it alone you don’t need the meds, that’s a different angle.

The only thing I would say is that I can always stick to diets and lose weight for maybe up to 6 weeks then maybe have a heavy weekend or go on holiday and end up back to square one. For me the difference has been that I have been able to do it consistently for 4 months and now pretty much at goal weight.

Me too. To be fair it’s always what happens in maintenance, life gets in the way,

My first two stones took 10 weeks. The following 2.5 stones have taken nearly six months!
