@Selfcareaddictyou won't get monjaro on the NHS. You are not overweight enough.
That was what my gp told me. I am at the low end of diabetic arrange, on cholesterol tablets, and 4 stone overweight.
I am on Monjaro now. In his words you can have it but you will have to go private and fund it yourself which is what I've done.
For the record yes it works! I've been on it 5 weeks on 2.5, have lost a stone, eating 3 small meals, a day, and a small supper.
Don't do it by the only eat when your hungry method I've seen many do. Monjaro is a tool to lose weight, alongside healthier eating methods so you can get it off, retraining your brain to eat properly
For most of us it's about portion control, and making intentional food choices.
I use a free app alongside my monjaro to keep an eye on calorie defecit. The majority of us don't treat food like fuel to keep us gently going, that's why so many today are overweight me included.
Treating food as fuel just as I would keep a car topped up with petrol, or batteries charged is the best way I have found.
It's how it used to be before the ratrace and modern society took over, where food is an after thought, we eat on the go, and don't look at why, and what we are eating.
Just to confirm I'm not moaning about how life has changed. I love the generational changes, and how much richer life is etc. However there are always downsides as well as up to everything. The way most of us eat, me included, without intention is understandable how life is today...
I never did eat brilliantly however I never struggled with my weight. That started when I developed health issues and wasn't so mobile anymore.
So from my own perspective go for it. The rest is just bringing in my thoughts and experiences which may or may not be helpful to some reading this
