Anyone tired the daily tablets?

I’ve been interested in WLI since the start but not brave enough to face the possible side effects so am looking for anyone with experience of the oral form of GLP-1s. They’ve been out here in the US for a few weeks so not a lot of documented personal experience yet. Not sure if they’re available in the UK.

Looking at oral tirzepatides though open to others and hoping to lose 40-50lbs total

Thanks in advance

I've been on mysimba, started a year ago, stopped for a bit then restarted. Lost just over 2 stone so far but was only 12.10 at my heaviest so a fairly good decrease. Aiming for another stone and a half to be at the maximum of a "healthy" weight (I'm short which is why it's so low).

No Real side effects but I've never gone up to the maximum dose of 4 tabs a day. Find it much cheaper than injections - asda do frequent offers so a box of 112 tablets cost about £80_90 and last 2-3 months. If you did get up to the 4 per day a box would last 28 days but I've noticed a significant enough decrease in hunger on just 1/2 a day.

I’m not afraid of the needle or injecting myself, I am afraid of the side effects. Apparently with the pills, they can be less dramatic. I am also concerned about my hair falling out and the inevitable ageing which comes with quick weightloss.

I lost 100lbs+ on my own but cannot seem to get to my goal weight so I was hoping this would help.

It is entirely down to the individual. The injections were great for me, no side effects. The tablets were dreadful

Most medication is trial and error, you start something, if it doesnt suit, you change to something else, this is no different really

I cant tell you how many blood pressure medications I went through when I had high blood pressure, they all had some sort of awful side effect until I found one that was tolerable. Im off them now thankfully.

WL medication will help you, and it doesnt necessarily lead to fast weight loss, in most cases it doesnt.

Thanks @soupyspoon

1lb w week would mean I am done by the end of the year so that would suit me down to the ground.

In terms of maintenance, I expect there will be officially prescribed microdoses for this coming soon. People are already doing it off-prescription and it’s working.

Doesn’t it mess with your sleep?
