Welcome fellow maintainers to our third thread! Tis the season to be joyful and we do have reasons to be joyful, as we are still here. Not always the perfect journey and full of treats and temptations, but we'd have nothing to talk about otherwise. So hop on the Magical Maintenance Sleigh of Wonder and lets go! (Apologies to all those reading this for the first time in March! I got a bit carried away my festive season puns.)

Azuresky68 · 19/03/2026 16:28

Medicine Marketplace 10mg £229..not sure about P&P as I can't order until back from holiday.

Just want to check Pharmulous latest price for 10mg

I took first dose of newly opened 10mg pen and it gave a lot of suppression. I am wondering if pens that have been used over a longer period for micro dosing lose their strength? Any thoughts welcome.

Azuresky68 · 19/03/2026 16:55

Pharmulous £239 but not sure about discount code. P&P - usually £4.99

Azuresky68 · 19/03/2026 16:56

Guess it depends which one allows longest gaps. Need to do video consultation to start with Medicine Marketplace

MummyInTheNecropolis · 19/03/2026 17:33

Medicine marketplace do free delivery. The video consultation must be a new requirement as I didn’t need one, I just have to send them a video of me on the scales each time I order.

Many thanks. Do they allow more than a 4 week gap?

Yes, I had an 8 week gap and they didn’t question it. I put on the form that I had a surplus supply of pens but the didn’t ask for any proof.

I had a crazy busy weekend and I'm only just catching up now. So belatedly, thank you for keeping us on track & inspired, @MargoLivebetter! And welcome to new maintainers. We've all come so far.

It feels like I'm miles over my ideal weight at the moment, thanks to a combination of poor food choices, lack of sleep and probably the HRT I started this month throwing more hormones into the mix. However all the tempting food is now out of the house, I am really trying to get better sleep and the weather is good so I can do more outdoors.

I really only need to shed 3kg to get back to where I'm happiest. It will take some determination, but I can do it.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 20/03/2026 12:53

@MargoLivebetter your encouragement worked a bit too well for me this week - I’ve done my weekly weigh in and I’ve lost 4lbs this week! I’m not complaining though, as much as I was happy where I was, this now puts me in a new stone category (never thought I could ever be 10 stone something)! And I can now officially say I have lost a total of 14 stone. Happy days! I’m definitely not losing anymore though! I am done now and as long as I stay under 11 and a half stone I’m happy. 😊

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/03/2026 13:57

Lost a lb so 1lb off my lowest weight

needed to sort the gain since dropping from 15 to 5 then 2.5 but then it went wrong and gained

far easier to be strict and lose few lbs then lose a few stone

my ballpark is 3lbs

never been over before so knew needed to be good before all piled back on

what is everyone’s ballpark

MargoLivebetter · 20/03/2026 17:37

Great news @MummyInTheNecropolis and @Blondeshavemorefun . Nice way to finish the week.

@OneThirdLess interesting you mentioned you had started HRT. I started 6 weeks ago now and it has definitely contributed to a few extra pounds. My shrivelled breast tissue has unshrivelled a bit and I have bigger boobs than I've had for ages (not by much, but I can tell). I'm definitely holding more water as well. So, I'm currently hovering right at the top of my zone of tolerance. I've cut the calories to 1200 and am basically down to two meals a day. The HRT GP I saw did say it takes about 3 months to settle after starting systemic HRT, so I guess it is still early days.

Week one of maintenance and I lost 0.4 of a lb which I’m really happy with, I started maintaining at 9 stone 8.9 and am now 9 stone 8.5, I’m also on two meals a day which works well for me.
I’ve also seen that the new Shotsy update now has a maintenance option.
@MummyInTheNecropolis 14 stone is phenomenal!
@Blondeshavemorefun are you referring to a ‘buffer’? I’ve decided on 5lbs, I can fluctuate throughout the week by around 4lbs which I used to find quite scary at the beginning but am used to it now, as long as it evens out by weigh day!

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/03/2026 19:50

Yes buffer. Not ballpark

what happens if doesn’t even out at weigh day @Iwouldratherbesinging

So far, after 18 months, it always has. It’s really bizarre and I’m 58 so I can’t blame it on hormones either! I have suffered with constipation throughout so that probably accounts for some of it, it doesn’t happen every week (thankfully).

Thelittlestranger · 21/03/2026 07:19

I like to have top weight, and a bottom weight and they are 2lbs apart. At the moment I tend to be 0.6lb above it on a Monday and back within it by a Friday.

However, it is 2lbs higher than it was. Well, not really as it is different scales to the ones I used before which make me 2lbs heavier which is quite hard to get my head round.

If I go higher than that, I put the brakes on. I'm currently skiing, and I expect the brakes will need to be put on when I'm back on Sunday night...

I also started HRT 2 months ago @MargoLivebetter

OneThirdLess · 21/03/2026 11:47

I've got a weight window/buffer of 7lbs. I'm happiest when I'm on the lower end of that. Right now I'm 3lb over the top, so working to get back to it. (Average weight weekly. I still weigh daily, so I can see it going down, just hope that's not random fluctuations).

When I look at my chart I can see a definite uptick in weight from starting HRT. Realised it's been just over a month now. Equally - it could just be a slip into old habits, time will tell I guess. Though I could stand to have a bit of boob expansion in my sad, saggy sacks - just a little to iron out the worst of the wrinkles would be nice! Fingers crossed @MargoLivebetter .

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/03/2026 12:09

@Thelittlestranger so similar to me those mine is 3lbs

a friends is 7lbs. But I’m scared to go that varied as if then tip the top end and go over the following week before I know it I’ve gained a stone - so same as you @OneThirdLess

MummyInTheNecropolis · 21/03/2026 13:41

I keep changing my buffer zone. Originally it was 11 stone 7 to 11 stone 12 (which is the top of a healthy BMI for me. Now that I’ve gone down into the 10s though I’d quite like to stay here! So now I’m thinking maybe 10 stone 12 to 11 stone 3, for now at least. I may lower that slightly again at some point but I’m happy here for now. My size 10s are getting a bit loose so I’ve had to buy some size 8s, I don’t think I’d want to be any smaller than that (which is exactly what I said when I swapped my size 12s for 10s) 😅

tinyemmy · 21/03/2026 21:01

Checking in after a long work week. After my conversation with the accountability coach I've managed to stick to reasonable calories. It's my longest binge free streak in months. Sadly all the binge eating means I have a fair amount to lose which is really annoying but I do want to give it a good go without mj. I also went to the dentist this week for a filling and they've built up one of my teeth so it feels strange to eat, apparently it will take a couple of weeks to feel normal but it's helping with the no wanting to eat (temporarily at least) and I met with my ADHD prescriber and she has upped my medication so we shall see how that goes, it may also help. I was finding when it wore off I was binge eating. I started taking it when I came off mj (it was the main reason I stopped when I did as I wasn't allowed to take them at the same time) so it's difficult to know whether it has contributed or if it would have been even worse!

ShrankLastWinter · 21/03/2026 23:02

I’m still trying to work out what my fluctuation zone is because I’ve carried on creeping down. Under 70kg, I think, but my highest measurements of the month can be up to 71.5 and my lowest 69.5. To get them all under 70 if have to lose another couple of kilos and would look too thin.

Placestogo · 22/03/2026 07:41

@tinyemmyo had not realised you couldnt take adhd meds and MJ at the same time? Do you know why?

i have one childwith adhd and his eating is all over the place. He barely eats anything during the day due to meds and then in the evening, when meds have worn off, he cannot stop! I dont want to frane it as “binge rating” yet because he is young (17) and still growing up but i do worry for him in the future

i weighted yesterday and i am 1kg over what i was a month ago. I have decided to remain on the same dose but to keep trying to maintain/lose weight. I went out with friends last night and my friend (not on WLI) was saying that theonly way she could maintain (not even lose weight) was by not eating dinner! It just show how difficult it is for perimenopausal/ meno women!! To be fair this is also what i kind of do. I try to workout 3 times a week and if i come home just before dinner from the gym, i will have a protein shake instead of a meal. It helps with me maintain my weight!
im 77kg which is overweight. Normal BMI would be 69kg. I am aiming for 72 to 70kg but not less just because i think i look good enough like this and losing more weight would not add anything to my appearance + i am feeling really good at this weight. So yes if i lose another 5kg on a MJ microdose then i’ll be good. Really hoping the spring/summer will help with healthier food choices and more outdoor activities!

daffodilandtulip · 22/03/2026 08:26

I’m 7st 7lbs. I tell myself as long as I keep under 8st, I’m happy (as I’ve lost 6st and only planned to lose 3 😅) but in reality if I reach 7st 10 I start panicking.

LadyClumber · 22/03/2026 08:43

I have a buffer zone of 5lbs. So far, I haven’t breached it, but I am still titrating down and my appetite definitely is increasing. I also am finding that cravings for chocolate after a meal has returned. At the moment, I am managing by mixing a sprinkle of chocolate protein powder with yoghurt and berries which is doing the trick and will power. Doesn’t help that in my area every second shop is an ‘artisan’ bakery! Although £6 for a pistachio croissant acts as its own deterrent…

MummyInTheNecropolis · 22/03/2026 09:00

I’m craving sweet stuff in the evenings again too, my current favourite snack is 2 Kallo lentil cakes (like rice cakes but with more natural protein) spread with pip and nut peanut butter. The protein makes it filling and the peanut butter gives me the sweetness I’m craving, and it’s only 144 calories.

tinyemmy · 22/03/2026 09:30

@Placestogo the main reason is that in theory both of them could make you lose weight (not my experience) but I don't want to mess with it whilst in titration as it will slow digestion and therefore how the medication works.
There is definitely a difference between overeating and binge eating. I sometimes overeat - eat more than I had intended to. And I sometimes binge eat - go to the shops to buy foods specifically to eat and then eat them all, this biscuits, sharer chocolate packs, ice cream, cakes (all in one sitting).
The body, particularly when on ADHD medication (because it may have stopped you from eating during the day - not me!) will try and recoup calories when it can so you may find your son is just getting his calories back. Also a potential issue for those with ADHD (and something I struggle with) is using food for dopamine. If your son is just getting his calories back it's no problem (plus a 17 year old male will need a lot of calories). We try and get out daughter not to eat too much rubbish, we catch her in the cupboard. She has periods during her childhood where she has had a bit more (I have really struggled to describe this and has made me realise that this is an issue, I started with porky, puppy fat, a bit more fat...) "insert appropriate word". She is 12 and I'm actually more worried that she is going the other way although I'm currently telling her not to eat smarties for breakfast, so perhaps not. I don't want her to have a lifelong struggle like I have. My other daughter, nearly 9, eats for fuel. She is the sort of person that will have a couple of pieces of chocolate and then put it away!!
