Welcome fellow maintainers to our third thread! Tis the season to be joyful and we do have reasons to be joyful, as we are still here. Not always the perfect journey and full of treats and temptations, but we'd have nothing to talk about otherwise. So hop on the Magical Maintenance Sleigh of Wonder and lets go! Sounds like they found a lost box at the back of their fridge unit. I have 4 pens from Pharmulous in my fridge and two are March 27 and two are April 27. I am getting another this week and am hoping it will be May 27.

Once the new smaller pens get delivered I will probably figure out a plan as I have 6-9 months stock depending on the dose I take. I currently take 7.5mg - 10mg so need to come clean to Pharmulous about my stockpile and ask to take a break but be able to order a 10mg pen when I reorder.

It definitely feels worth while to stock pile a bit as as soon as the 4 dose pens are filtering in people will be purchasing as much current stock as possible.

I don’t know about pharmulous but I was told that if you take a break need to start again at 2.5mg. Annoying… I’m only using a 5mg pen but still.

I wish we could buy a vile and use syringes so we can dose what we need rather than these pens which are all going in landfill! I know some prescribers in the USA prescribe viles.

But that’s just it. I will be taking a break from ordering but not taking a break from my weekly doses of 7.5mg to 10mg.

I realised yesterday that the pen lid is so unnecessarily pen lid like. Who’s hating their mj on their pocket?!

Apparently Voy are now prescribing off label to anyone with a bmi 25 or over. I would wonder if they’d prescribe a higher dose after a break as they are doctor led. Might be worth enquiring and then once you have one higher prescription you can move around. I think their wording said about higher doses and lower bmi.

Will they let you order 10mg with an ordering gap? I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. I’m using 5mg pens to take 2mg. So currently get 12 or maybe 13 doses. With the new pens will be 10 doses.

Ordered a new dress and jeans. Dress was 8 as it looked tight, jeans I got in a 6 as they looked baggy. Put them both aside last night without trying and with a sigh as I’d never fit in them. Tried the jeans this morning and they’re too big 🙈

I’m still on 5mg but finding I’m not getting hungry towards the end of the week like before, so leaving it 10 days in between. Not sure if this is the best or I’d be better just doing 2.5 but I’m always scared to rock the boat too much.

That’s why I want to discuss with them before I take a break and show them I have several full pens ordered from them so I am having a break from ordering but not from using Mounjaro.

i think the new pens have a little bit left over after the 4th dose so you might get 11 doses. 2mg is so much more economical than my 7.5-10mg a week. I need to make a concerted effort to get my maintenance dose down with a bit more willpower and exercise.

Pharmoulous as long as you can prove have a stash are happy to reorder high with a break

Sorry I'm not posting much but I still feel so rough. Cannot shake off this hideous cough cold bug. I have been like a sloth, hardly doing anything and eating too much as a result. By the end of last week, I had gone over my zone of tolerance. I've radically cut back my calories and went back to the full half dose of MJ on Saturday as well and have managed to shed 1lb so far. Really fed up of feeling unwell.

@Merlin23 I use the pen as a vial and inject from a syringe.

@SnowWhiteisMyFavourite I always want to finish my evening meal with something sweet. I manage these days by finishing with a square of dark chocolate or a single toffee and I don't have anything else in the house that will tempt me. In the summer I can swap those out for a few berries, but in the winter I really struggle to eat cold fruit.

Oh @MargoLivebetter how miserable! I’ve always been prey to lingering respiratory viruses and now am a great believer in ginger and turmeric tea, ideally with manuka honey in. I make it in a flask and let it stew. Green peppercorns too. Guzzle it continuously until you blast the inflammation out of your tubes. Similarly chicken soup with anti-inflammatory spices.

I've completely come off MJ now and shotsy says I have 0.95mg in my body. Anyone else feel anxiety returning as they lower or come off it?
I'm 54, post menopausal and was feeling like I was emerging from most of my menopause symptoms 😢

@Hangryfastjo I definitely notice a change of feelings without MJ in my system. For me it isn't anxiety but there is definitely a mental element for me. From the research I've done, GLP-1s do have an effect on the reward centres of our brain, so it definitely has an impact.

How long have you been cutting down and is this the first time you've noticed the uptick in anxiety?

@ShrankLastWinter thank you, I think I'm finally clambering out of it now. Not fully better but definitely a lot less vile than I was!

Thank you @MargoLivebetter its only in the ladt week or so, but I've had a change of manager at work. My support worker now manages me! I dont do change well, so it could just be a culmination of things.

I guess it will just be a case of giving it a bit of time @Hangryfastjo and see how it goes. Fingers crossed it will pass and you'll be fine.

Oushk are being difficult about my gap between pens, I’m still working through my back log and I’m trying to click count. I’m going to have to be more careful about ordering every six weeks. I’m hoping they’ll authorise this one. I’ve explained I was working through my stockpile.

Have they said what their objection is @FurForksSake ?

They are asking why I have a gap, I don’t think it’s much more than six weeks. I think I selected a further off delivery date that’s thrown it off. They’ve never questioned me before.

Ah, ok. I had this with Pharmulous too. They were ok in the end and sent me another pen. I'm sure you'll get there with Oushk.
