Staying on 2.5 for second month?

Would you stay on the 2.5 dose for your second month?

I have had good suppression and lost 3lbs a week. So, I’ve just taken jab 3 and have lost 6lbs in total.

Felt a bit crappy after first dose so am nervous to jump up if unnecessary…

Anyone else stayed on 2.5?

It's amazing how the body responds differently for different people.

I’ve lost 4kg in the last 2 weeks since I started MJ. Week 3 injection tonight. I really have very little appetite and no desire to snack at all!
Reading all the comments I think when I reorder I’ll stick to the 2.5mg dosage.

I did week 3 jab on Monday night. I’ve just had to force myself to eat the tiniest bit of soup for dinner.

With this in mind worth noting that Mounjaro is a serious drug designed for diabetics... and fat type 2 diabetics with a bmi of over 29. My BMI is 35, (which makes me medically obese) and i'm type 2 diabetic. But that's not enough for the NHS to prescribe it so i'm paying as it's the best way to control my blood glucose and lose the flab that is affecting my pancreas.

If your BMI is lower than 27 is it wise to be on such a hardcore drug?

My Monj journey: I stayed on 2.5 for 2 months and lost 4kg... then I went up to 3.75 by doing 44 clicks of a 5mg.... which gave me fewer side effects as a nurse mate warned me going 2.5 to 5 could be quite harsh. I am fat (100kg) and I must say i'm getting through a lot of esomeprezole and gaviscon on monj as it has given me reflux.... My target weight is 80kg and BMI of 26/27.

And now fibogel is a daily thing too. 1 sachet in water after breakfast to keep things going.... top tips - drink enough water and eat lots of vegetables or get stuck.... also don't eat after 6pm.

diet tips lots of green leafy veg: add multivitamin. brekky: Chia seeds on plain greek yoghurt.

I’m still on 2.5mg after 4 months. No plans to increase. No need.

I was a bmi of 30 - 2 weeks ago. Bmi of 29.2 today. So def not in the healthy zone yet.

I absolutely agree it’s s very strong drug. I’ve been deliberating about taking it for the last couple of years.

I eat healthily. Focus on fish and veg. I go to the gym every week. But was just bobbing up and down between the same couple of lbs. So thought I’d give it a go.

@DoodlesMam I had gestational diabetes which seems to be what tipped me over from being someone who could just about control their weight (albeit never feeling full) to someone who could not.
I know MJ is a powerful drug but as someone who has had to take metformin and insulin it is the lesser of the evils IMO - I was sliding towards type 2 and now I’m 3kg away from a healthy BMI and my Hbac1 has never been better.

Following this thread as I've just had a consultation today and plan to start monj mid December.

Amazing!
I’m losing so fast I’m really having to think about getting all my protein in. It’s crazy.
I’m tired though from the drastic calorie reduction. I’m seeing a PT and want to be able to maintain muscle. It’s a bit of a balancing task.
