Anyone not had any loss on MJ?

5 weeks, no loss.
Now on second week of increased dose to 5mgs.

Not a single pound gone. (Despite doing absolutely every single thing I can do to make it happen)

Anyone had this? Does it just not work for some people?

I go through cycles of losses and stalls. I put it down to hormones, am peri and my cycle being all over the place correlates with the losses/stalls.
Averaging it out I’m on 1lb a week loss which is fine for me, not as exciting as others experience but I plod on.

For me one of the biggest upsides of the jabs is the ability to keep going when the stalls happen and not throwing in the towel as I usually would.

Best of luck,

Try eating 1500 once a week.

I have found that sticking to a very restrictive calorie limit causes my metabolism to adjust and start saving energy by not heating my hands and feet as much as usual. I've lost just short of 14 stone, and found my weight loss plateaued when I restricted my calorie intake drastically over a longer period of time. Eating for maintenance a couple of days a week has kept my weight loss going for nigh on 4 years,

BMI 32
Menopausal with drastic weight gain no matter what I do and I’ve done everything over the last 10 years.
You name it, and over long periods of time too.

Lost 1 stone in the first month on 2.5mgs. That is the first significant weight loss in over 6 years, I was delighted.
Now nothing, not a thing.

Quite the opposite to the thread title and OP.

What was the point?

Very misleading title and first post.

What on earth is your height and weight if your BMI is 32 and your TDEE is 1500?

@Floweryfrock23 , you’ve lost a stone in 5 weeks, that’s an excellent weight loss. Remember it’s fat you’re trying to lose not weight per se. Sometimes the scales don’t reflect your fat loss because our bodies hold on to water. Keep on keeping on.
My average fat loss was 1.5Lbs a week, I lost just over 5 stone some weeks my weight went up, sometimes it stayed the same. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Get your GP to test your thyroid hormones though.

This is written is such a confusing way

so basically you did two months in 2.5 instead of moving up and didn’t lose anything in the second month, obvs as you should have moved up, so now have done one week on five. Right?

I would be very careful using MFP. It's results are patchy because all the input is by users. I used it for a long time but had to setup my own versions of everything by double checking packaging etc. I've moved to Nutracheck now which is much more reliable.
Assuming you are in a calorie deficit then you will lose weight. But it's not a straight line and you've lost a lot in a short time so your body may be adjusting.
Not saying this is you, but for me, when I don't weigh and count every tiny thing I eat, the calories creep up. I've been on MJ for a year now and whenever I've had stalls it's when I've been lax on the weighing and counting. It is very easy to think you are eating next to nothing and find it's too many calories.
However, if you're sure on the calories you need to be aware that the TDEE levels are just a guide. You need to assess your own personal level.
You can do this by recording everything, every day and seeing what you lose over 2-4 weeks. If you lose 1lb a week, you know you are at an average 500 deficit. If you're not losing or losing more, you need to adjust your calorie level.
