Comments on your weight loss - nice and not so night things people have said?

I’ve lost 2 stone and 2lbs and people are starting to notice. So far, the handful of people who’ve said anything have been nice and today, a colleague walked up to me and said, ‘gosh, you look lovely. You can really tell’. I was quite touched by that.

At some point I imagine there’ll be some catty/snippy comments but just wondering if anyone else has had some nice (or perhaps not so nice) comments about their weight loss?

This! If they offer it as a point of conversation and you feel you want to say you look great then fine, but otherwise it isn’t necessary to comment either way. Or instead make more general comments - you look great / I love your dress or whatever. Just quit commenting on other people’s body.

I don’t agree, I think if you’re close enough to know someone is trying to lose weight, and is happy to discuss, then paying them a compliment is a positive thing to do. Taking control of your healfh, is always to be celebrated. Clearly if you don’t know the person, don’t know why they are losing, don’t know if they’d welcome a comment, don’t do it, but close friends, family, even close colleagues, when you know, then I’m all for paying a genuine compliment.

so I personally feel it is way more nuanced than never comment,

I'm 5ft 3ins. I've lost 22lbs since I started mounjaro end of June. Over 2 stone since last Christmas, very happy. Looking to lose another stone, possibly 1.5.
Yesterday I had to buy new outfit for family get together on Sunday, as all my clothes too big. Bought black trousers and top, both size 12. Haven't been a size 12 for years.
Was talking to my brothers partner earlier today (she's very anti mounjaro). She asked how much I weigh now, we're about the same height. I mentioned my new clothes.
She then went on to say she's 6lbs lighter than me and wearing size 16
Now, she shops in Primark so are their sizes different? Is she accusing me of lying? Or is she just being a bitch?

Oh to add. I'm 5ft 3ins and now weigh 10st 13lbs
Size 12

first, yes of course sizing is all over the place and it's perfectly possible to be 12 in one shop and 16 in other. But people carry their weight differently, you can be the same weight and wear very different size.
