How much has everyone lost?

Just looking for some motivation really. I can’t imagine life not being fat, wearing plus size and feeling uncomfortable all of the time. Can’t even imagine being a size 12/14!

Im a little over 16 stone and wear a UK 18-20, 22 in fitted dresses. I’m 5ft 2 so I have a good 6-7 stone to lose. Anyone else lost that much? I can’t remember the last time I felt nice in my own skin, the only thing I like about my body is that I’ve grown and birthed my beautiful daughter. I just want to feel good for once in my adult life. I’ve seen lots of stuff on social media but want to hear from real people about their successful weight loss and how it’s made them feel.

Please don't compare your journey to others as you'll kill your enthusiasm and motivation.

But a fellow 5'2 er here - started at 15 st 3.8 on 25 March and today I weighed in at 11st 4.2 - so 0.4lb off 4 stone 😬😬😬😬😬

All on 2.5mg and no plans to increase as my first goal is 10st so not long left to go.

But I feel fantastic, love clothes shopping, I'm addicted to vinted 🤦‍♀️ and have so much more confidence, energy and love of life.

Good luck.

4 stone 2lbs loss in a year. Started at 14 stone 12. Aiming for 9 stone 7 (5'2'' but older so I don't want to be too skinny). I have used Mounjaro and simply cut out snacks and eaten less at meal times. I haven't actually counted calories. I could probably have lost more if I had counted calories, but I am actually happy with slower loss as I haven't had any nasty side effects.

SepticPegsSepticLeg · 20/09/2025 11:35

Started in August 2023 under my own steam and went from 135kg to 127kg. Plateaued and started MJ in November 2024. As of this morning i am 92.9kg (14.5st ish) I have not weighed this little since I was 15/16 and I am currently 39!

PeterPandor · 20/09/2025 11:40

2 stone over 10 months. Including a 4 months stall - a bit like maintenance! This was partly because I was reluctant to go up higher than 10+ mg dose. I’m about 10 lbs off target of 11.7 stone.

Slow - but I was very cautious as wanted to try and avoid side effects (I did avoid all side effects apart from a horrible rash, which was an allergic reaction near the beginning).

Started September 24 I’ve lost 6.5stone, still got another 3 to go. I was a size 26-28 I’m now an 18. I’m in it for the long game, I’ve just changed to Wegovy from MJ but I haven’t started it yet

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 20/09/2025 11:55

I am just over 5ft (thought I was 5ft 2 when I started but recently measurement has me at 153cm!!) and have lost 120lbs (just over 8 1/2 stone). I was a size 22 and am now an 8.

I never in a million years thought I could be the owner of a body this size!!!

EveryDayisFriday · 20/09/2025 12:00

As a slow loser, I'm 5st down in 2yrs. The first 2 stone, I lost on Phentermine tablets (prescription). Then Peri kicked in big time, I took a break to get my HRT sorted then started Mounjaro a year ago and lost a further 3stone.

From 15st to 10st, size 20 to size 12/14. Still have my curves but now I have hip, cheek and collar bones too. I've lost a third of my body weight and feel fantastic after a lifetime of obesity. It's been worth every penny.

Perfectlyplump · 20/09/2025 12:09

I started taking Wegovy in June. There was no choice as M J would interfere too much with other drugs I am taking. I have stayed at a low dose 0.25/0.5 because of this and I have lost 11 kg from a start weight of 100kg. I’m 167 so was a size 20/22 and am now size 18.

The best thing for me is that I’m not suffering on the diet and very happy to stay on it until I reach my goal. I don’t exercise much as I’m not very mobile but I haven’t been able to diet before and stay on track for very long as dieting has made me so miserable. This is the lowest I have been for ten years. So it’s a resounding yes from me.

AugustMounjaroTeam · 20/09/2025 12:16

I lost 6 stone and now quite stable. Took about 11 months, I think. have never had such a relaxing year, all ‘worrying’ about food just went away. Now look a whole lot better but also - more importantly - feel so resoundingly fit, well and NORMAL.

Life changing for me.

Allmarbleslost · 20/09/2025 12:55

I started in January and am just over 4 stone down with another 2 or 3 to go. I've gone for slow and steady rather than chasing the big losses and I maintained through the summer holidays due to too many treats! I'm hoping for another stone by Christmas.

wlinewbie0425 · 20/09/2025 13:31

3stone since late April. From wearing 16-18 to 12s. More importantly I feel so much healthier and fitter. Highly recommend talking the plunge if it’s suitable for you.

Thelankyone · 20/09/2025 14:02

I’d also highly recommend, I look and feel so much healthier and have had no side effects, other than some mild nausea when I moved up to 5mg. I think the stats are 80 percent of people have no side effects. I ultimately went up to 10mg and stayed there, tapering down to 5 mg as my maintenance dose,

the drug basically rebalances me, I don’t know how else to describe it. I behave in a way I perceive to be normal round food, I eat when hungry, I stop when full, I don’t crave crap food, I love fruit, veg now, and I am not sitting thinking about my next meal. I enjoy what I eat, but can easily stop when full, I eat an healthy portion, and push my plate away when done. If I do consume more on a given day ie when out for dinner and drinks. I can easily cut back the next day so there is no weight gain.

i can’t recall the last time i ate chocolate. I know plenty still do, but I’ve no desire to have some, I’ve a cupboard full of biscuits and chocolate, that I don’t give a passing thought to, I’m just not interested, where as before it would be on my mind till I ate what was there, but give me a bowl of fresh pineapple or mango, and I’m very happy, that’s what now hits the spot.

when I’ve a stressful work day I don’t even think about reaching for the wine, doesn’t even cross my mind, but can drink easily when socialising. I get little to no hangovers now, very minimal if I’ve had a several glasses when out with friends, but no hangover at all if I’ve had a couple when out for dinner. It’s like my liver reset.

my sleep apnea is gone, my blood pressure is now healthy, I sleep a good 8 hours a night, I’m fully hydrated and drink about 3 litres of water a day.

all the inflammation has gone, that went very quickly at the start, and my joints all work well now with no stiffness,

id recommend to anyone who is struggling with their weight and is obese, and in real life I tell everyone, as I’m proud I took control, I researched the drugs, spoke to my gp, then paid out my own pocket, did the work throughout the journey, exercising 6 days a week, eating a clean and healthy diet, getting my protein in, drinking my water, it wasn’t difficult like it was before, where it felt impossible, but neither was it effortless, it took focus , thought, planning, and energy. But has been for me, a life saver. And as said I’d recommend it to anyone.

gimmemounjaro · 22/09/2025 09:19

I lost 6st 5 in a year or so, 17st 3 to 10st 12, size 20 to size 12. I am quite tall and in my 50s so that’s light enough for me, I’m just at the point where ribs are starting to show at the top of my chest and I feel that looks too skinny for me.

I have been successfully maintaining in the 150s for the last 6 weeks and have reduced the dose to 6.8mg so far. I’ll continue to reduce slowly and see whether I can come off MJ completely or whether I need to stay on a low dose to keep steady. Either will be fine by me. I have never been a healthy weight as an adult so this has transformed my life in a very fundamental way. Very grateful and would recommend these drugs to anyone.

Ireolu · 22/09/2025 09:24

Have gone from 116kg to 87kg. 4.5 stone. From a size 20 to size 14 (although these are getting looser now) I'm still on 10mg of mounjaro. Started in January. I plan to get to 85kg then wean/maintain on a smaller dose. I feel much better in myself and I'm happy to decided to go for it. Its my birthday in a few days and the difference in the way I look is astounding.

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 22/09/2025 19:23

With the caveat that I am much, much taller than you at 6', I have lost just under 10 stone, 43% of my original body weight. There are long-running, very friendly, supportive threads for those looking to lose more than five and more than ten stone. You would be most welcome.
