Im 15 stone and 5 foot 6, I have horrendously massive boobs. Im exhausted 24 7
Im just wondering if people have tried either
Ive tried dieting but I just can't seem to remove the constant hunger, sweet cravings and emotional eating.
Im in a really difficult place emotionally as my partner is moving out soon as our relationship has become toxic.
Im also stressed with some parenting issues.
I just want a kick start whilst I muddle through other things.

I found Slimpod to be completely useless op.
Am seriously considering MJ

SundayFundayz · 10/09/2025 06:53

I do them both together but I started both around a year ago when it was all much cheaper.
MJ helps with the physical cravings but slimpod has really helped my mindset. I’m coming off MJ now but will stay on slimpod as it’s a lifetime thing once you’ve paid the initial 3 months.
i would suggest starting slimpod as it’s so much cheaper, give it 3 months and see if it’s working for you or if you need to move onto injections. Absolutely loads of advice on WLI on the board for it.

My appetite went almost straight away on mounjaro. I was very much an emotional, bored eater. I would just eat anything and everything.

I was really surprised just how much mounjaro worked in suppressing my appetite.

I am now changing to Wegovy due to the cost increase and hoping this works as well.

HelloHattie · 10/09/2025 07:42

Mounjaro is magic. Total game changer.

Havrethemshops · 10/09/2025 07:47

I'm doing slimpod for the second time. The reason it's the second time is purely because I had to go on some medication that piled all the weight I had lost back on.

I don't want to do the injections for various reasons, side effects, costs, the chance that I would have to be on the for the rest of my life and I'm not convinced that they get to the underlying problem of why we overeat in the first place. These are obviously my own personal opinions and I realise that they are working fine for other people.

Slimpod isn't going to give you super quick results, you can put as much effort or not as you want into it. You need to listen to the meditation everyday, I fall asleep in it and it still works, then there's a ton of coaching videos, there's a Facebook group,if you like that sort of thing but you are slowly retraining the way you think about food so it takes time.

I find it pretty low effort, I listen to the meditation mostly everyday, I dip in and out of the coaching videos I never do the Facebook group. I lose weight very slowly, but I eat healthier, I don't obsess about food, I still eat out with family and friends, I eat cake when it's birthdays and I enjoy it without feeling guilty.

You might as well try the free trial, then I think it's 3 months of about 30 quid per month, or it was when I did it, then that's it for life. Although I haven't looked at their recent costs, that makes the whole thing cheaper than a month of injections. I have no problem logging on and after the initial 12weeks I get no sales harassment from them. The customer service were really good when I had a problem with my account. Also, no calorie counting, the hardest bit is trusting the process because at first you feel like you're going to put weight on.

SutekhsEars · 10/09/2025 07:49

If you want to try Slimpod I have a discount code you can use. Let me know if you want it.

AuntieDote · 10/09/2025 07:55

Slimpod worked pretty well for me for about a year, I lost a couple of stone. It didn’t last unfortunately. I think you have to really buy into it and do the whole program, not just listening to the pods.

I put it all back and more of course, and went with mounjaro. Lost 3.5 stone before the side effects got too much - it really did make me ill and I had to stop for a while. I’m only able to use a very low dose now, and have to stretch it out longer than every 7 days. But between that and listening to the slim pod recordings I’ve kept the weight off and slowly chipping away at the last 10lbs or so to get to a healthy weight. I actually think they can work quite well together.

Side effects of the injections are common but mine were more extreme than most so don’t be particularly put off by that if you want to try them.

xanthomelana · 10/09/2025 08:05

I’ve tried both and you are better off putting your money towards Mounjaro. Slimpod was a total waste of time.

Merseymum1980 · 10/09/2025 08:24

Thank you guys. I flirted with slimpod in the past on a free trial but never gave it my all. Im steering towards both. This weight im carrying paticularly my embarrassing breasts are just causing so many problems and I just too much going on at the moment to try and consciously do strict diets x

Merseymum1980 · 10/09/2025 08:24

Im slightly worried that some people say it ages them x

SunandMoor · 10/09/2025 09:24

I have done both. Given your predicament I would do Monjouro and try and stay on low doses. I was 15st 2 and have lost nearly 2 stone in 3 months. You will find that whilst it’s expensive you save on other foods and alcohol. Think it will give you a kickstart. I have had no side effects.

SilenceInside · 10/09/2025 09:32

Mounjaro doesn't "age" you. Weight loss might change the look of your face and if you have a lot to lose then weight loss might mean some loose skin. But weight loss is going to improve your health and longevity and have the opposite effect than "aging" you. That's true however you lose the weight.

fancytoes · 10/09/2025 09:39

Mounjaro all the way. Life changer. What you spend on the injections you save on food!

Stay on a low dose if you need to. Just do it. I flirted with it for 3 months, then took the plunge. Zero side effects and I’ve been on 2.5mg for 2.5months and lost two stone, face still looks good. I am now trying to eat more to make sure I don’t go too quickly.

I was also a boredom eater. Lazy choices when hungry and always thinking about what next to eat.

I’m now 10.8 stone and feel fantastic. Have now started to work out and do strength training as before then I was too fat and unfit.

I am also a haver of the ENORMOUS boob as well, bras now have a whole hands worth of baggy fabric. Will buy new ones when I am a bit thinner!

AMAZING stuff!

Merseymum1980 · 10/09/2025 10:27

Thank you @fancytoes you have pushed me to just order and get cracking
Id like to get back to working out too as im just too heavy at the moment

MagnoliaTreePetals · 10/09/2025 12:00

Another great advantage to Mounjaro is that it has vastly reduced my emotional eating. When I am stressed/anxious/unhappy/worried/bored I simply don't even think about heading for the fridge/cupboard.

Also, re aging. I am 58. 8 months ago I felt like I was nearer 68. I have lost 5 stone and feel younger and full of life. People keep telling me I look so much younger. Having seen my photo from when I started I got quite a shock as I really do look 15 years younger than I did then.

I think the key is to know when to stop. Just because there is a range within the healthy BMI, it doesn't mean you have to get towards the bottom of it.

HappyWineDay · 10/09/2025 12:10

@MagnoliaTreePetals if I went down to the low end of my healthy BMI I'm sure I'd get blown away by a mild breeze. There must be something wrong with the bottom end of that band

fancytoes · 10/09/2025 14:39

This is excellent news, @Merseymum1980 well done!

I am 45 and I just saw 50 looming at me, fat(ter) and unfit. This will change your life. I have also eaten really cleanly to help. I had two ice-creams on holiday and didn’t feel guilty but didn’t feel amazing afterwards so it was a good head wobble to realise I just didn’t need it. I didn’t feel deprived when I subsequently turned them down (the kids had one every day!)

And as @HappyWineDaysays, you don’t need to get to XYZ weight as yes, you’d probably look old and ‘wrong’. (For me at 5ft theoretically that is 8-8.5 stone which will be absolutely ridiculous and what I was when I was 13!)

I’d like to get to 9-9.5stone, build more muscle. Gradually come off the drug and see how I fare from there. I’m still only on pen three of 2.5mg, the lowest dose.

Head over to the weight loss injection forum, loads of tips for new starters!

Gingercar · 10/09/2025 15:04

Don’t bank on saving money on food unless you lived on takeaways and rubbish prior to starting, and get fabulous suppression on the drugs. I would say I spend more on fruit and veg now than I ever spent on food pre mounjaro. I don’t get much suppression, still have a massive appetite, but it seems to help my willpower to keep to healthy food/habits and I’m approaching 4 months with a nearly 3 stone loss.

If you are prediabetic it’s worth asking your doctor for a referral to the Diabetes Prevention Program. It’s a 10 month course run by dietitians who help you change your eating and exercise ways. Initially it’s every fortnight, then every month, and they weigh you each time, which keeps you on the rails!

Mounjaro is magic. Total game changer.

Absolutely!!!!!

Magical journey over the last 11 months

6.5 stone down

New life

Mounjaroversary · 10/09/2025 15:09

Slimpod didn't work for me at all.
I've lost 5 stone on mounjaro, been off it now a few months and maintaining well so it's a no brainer for me, life changing magic stuff!!

MotherTuckinGenius · 10/09/2025 15:16

Regarding boobs size I wouldn’t bank on them getting smaller when you lose the weight. I started monjouro back in January and have lost 4 and a half stone so far (almost at goal) but even though my bra back size has reduced several inches the actual norks are still massive. My arse has disappeared though! Good luck if you go for it - best thing I’ve done for my overall health.

Merseymum1980 · 10/09/2025 16:06

Thank you so much for the responses. Ive just filled a form for the online clinic which s friend got them from so hoping all approved xx
