I'm doing slimpod for the second time. The reason it's the second time is purely because I had to go on some medication that piled all the weight I had lost back on.
I don't want to do the injections for various reasons, side effects, costs, the chance that I would have to be on the for the rest of my life and I'm not convinced that they get to the underlying problem of why we overeat in the first place. These are obviously my own personal opinions and I realise that they are working fine for other people.
Slimpod isn't going to give you super quick results, you can put as much effort or not as you want into it. You need to listen to the meditation everyday, I fall asleep in it and it still works, then there's a ton of coaching videos, there's a Facebook group,if you like that sort of thing but you are slowly retraining the way you think about food so it takes time.
I find it pretty low effort, I listen to the meditation mostly everyday, I dip in and out of the coaching videos I never do the Facebook group. I lose weight very slowly, but I eat healthier, I don't obsess about food, I still eat out with family and friends, I eat cake when it's birthdays and I enjoy it without feeling guilty.
You might as well try the free trial, then I think it's 3 months of about 30 quid per month, or it was when I did it, then that's it for life. Although I haven't looked at their recent costs, that makes the whole thing cheaper than a month of injections. I have no problem logging on and after the initial 12weeks I get no sales harassment from them. The customer service were really good when I had a problem with my account. Also, no calorie counting, the hardest bit is trusting the process because at first you feel like you're going to put weight on.
