Wegovy September Starters

Hi all, I’ve bitten to bullet and ordered my first Wegovy prescription, I was looking into both Mounjaro and Wegovy but I think with the price hike of Mounjaro it would be to expensive.

I’ve tried so many diets over the years and nothing has worked. I want to lose roughly 3 stone, nervous but also excited and looking for some buddies to do this with xx

I took my first Wegovy injection last night! Felt a little nauseous and a bit cold/shivery in bed. But feel fine today. I need to lose 3 stone too.

dontcomeatme · 07/09/2025 12:33

Oooh good luck OP 🤞 I started 4 weeks ago and lost 13lb already x

carlie550 · 07/09/2025 13:30

I’m hoping to start this month too but terrified at the thought of side effects! Have kept putting it off because of this. I’m a lecturer so running out of class with projectile expulsions from either end would be difficult to manage!

RacingZebra · 07/09/2025 15:15

I'm so pleased you started this thread. I've been thinking about going on Mounjaro for a few months but the price put me off so going for Wegovy instead. Planning on doing my first injection before bed tinight in the hope of reducing any side effects.

Elliebearblues · 07/09/2025 16:08

It’s nice to see other people out there starting this month too. @RelativePitch I’m so glad your symptoms haven't been to bad that’s what I’m nervous about.

@dontcomeatme wow 13lbs is blooming brilliant in 4 weeks. I’d be happy with half a stone in 4 weeks lol. I’ve literally given up on dieting and feel like nothing works so thought I’m going to try the jabs.

@carlie550 I know exactly what you mean, that’s why I’ve put off even thinking about having the jabs because of the side effects . I’ve spoken to quite a few people online who I know have been on Mounjaro with little to no side effects but that was out of my price range so opted for Wegovy instead and told it was just as good.

@RacingZebra I was torn as I really wanted to go on Mounjaro but the price was so expensive and will only go up the higher the dose and I thought I wouldn’t be able to afford that so decided to go for Wegovy as it’s meant to be just as good.

Good luck everyone and I can’t wait to hear how everyone is getting on xx

I have my Wegovy sat in my fridge at the moment. I still have my mounjaro pen to finish up, then will start on Wegovy.
I have changed over due to the cost and hoping Wegovy works for me.

I felt the same as you @Elliebearblues when i did my jab on Sunday. Nerves mainly down to the potential side effects but excited at the potential change to my physical and mental health. About 48 hours in and so far no side effects thankfully. I still feel hungry but I'm able to ignore whereas before I'd by searching for the closest snack.

First Jab just done - going to make an effort to have more protein and drink lots as I don’t drink enough during the day. Also re started weight training today so not to lose muscle mass, I want to lose about 3stone and really hope this works I’m so glad you havnt experienced any side effects yet. I hope I don’t either , will update tomorrow to how I feel x

Morning all, well I jabbed my first Wegovy last night and have woken up fine. Maybe a bit more thirsty but that could be just me. One thing I’ve noticed I feel a sense of calmness and peace. Anyone else feel like this? I’m not overly hungry but then I rarely eat breakfast so it’s may not be the jab.
when did everyone notice they weren’t as hungry and the food noise went away? Very curious xx

Hi hope I can join, I’m currently on a mounjaro thread as I started mounjaro a week before the price increases were announced. Such bad luck…I can’t afford the price hike so I have switched over to wegovy and I have got my pen in the fridge waiting for tomorrow. I’m nervous about the change and hoping it will work as well as mounjaro as apart from a couple of headaches and feeling a bit sick at first I’ve not had many symptoms. I also have lost 11 pounds on mounjaro, so I hope I continue to lose on wegovy. I’m with VOY at the mo as I had a large discount code for first order and then A second discount code for switching to wegovy but it’s definitely not the cheapest. So I will be shopping around.

Hello and welcome, the price was the reason I started Wegovy as I knew I wouldn’t be able to afford Mounjaro as the dose went higher. I was lucky and also had a discount off my first order and will be shopping around in a few weeks time when I’m due another pen. Good luck x

How is everyone getting on? I preferred from Chequp about 2 weeks ago and my Wegovy has just been delivered. Planning on starting this weekend but terrified of side effects! Keen to hear how you’re all doing!

Lifeisforliving2025 · 19/09/2025 16:17

I took my first wegovy jab on Monday. I had just finished a month of Mounjaro with an 11lb weightloss.

I'm not noticing any side effects from Wegovy, I'm on 0.25 dose. The suppression isnt as strong as MJ was for me but I see that as a positive, I feel more "normal" instead of going to bed feeling like my dinner was still in my tummy making me feel overfull.

Time will tell if my weightloss continues but I haven't changed what I was doing before...1600 calories with at least 100g protein and 25g fibre goals.

Still not tempted at all by chocolate/sweets which was my downfall before.

Have started my period early but unsure if thats connected to jabs or just perimenpoause.

Unsure if I will order 0.5 pen next or keep with 0.25, it's too soon to tell

carlie550 · 19/09/2025 20:13

Thank you for your update. I'm going to go for it, hopefully any side effects will pass in time for work on Monday. First time doing anything like this, 0.25 dose as well. Keep in touch, hope it goes well for you!

Lemon1111 · 19/09/2025 21:45

I’ve had less side effects than mounjaro, which is positive and I don’t think it’s made too much difference in suppression, time will tell I lost three pounds last week (my first week of wegovy) so that’s pretty good, can’t decide whether to go up a dose of stick with 1.5. I find the pen easier to inject as well although no golden dose :( x

Lifeisforliving2025 · 19/09/2025 22:44

I agree ...Wegovy is so much easier to inject

Solongtoshort · 20/09/2025 12:32

My Wegovy finally arrived, l want to start it but l am full of cold l don’t know if l could take any side effects added ti how l feeling.l’m also a bit nervous.
