To be honest I had been planning to stick with them but I just find them disingenuous now. They’re offering 7.2mg of wegovy as an alternative to 15mg of Mounjaro without mentioning that 7.2mg hasn’t been approved for UK sale yet and they don’t know when that will happen. They’ve just put “TBC” on their pricing and that to me reeks of desperation.

I ordered off Ouskh for the first time during this price increase and in fairness they were efficient.

I don't understand some of their emails that they send out about Live updates etc. Why? Just post info on the website. Though I now understand about their fan club etc etc.

But I do agree it is highly disingenuous to be offering 7.2mg Wegovy as the suitable alternative when it is not actually even in existence for ordering and hasn't been approved in the UK yet. Now that is frankly bending the truth just too far for words.

I can understand that there must be many on line providers who have set themselves up specifically for WLIs and created their business model that has somewhat been smashed to pieces with this recent price hike. Time will tell how this all pans out.

I think it means that pharmacies can sell whatever stock they have in hand at whatever price they like but can't get any new stock at the old prices from their own suppliers. So they basically have three choices - only take orders for the stock they have in hand, take orders at the old price but accept they will take the hit because they will need to pay the new price for the stock, or take orders at the new price already. If they've got stock in hand for the existing orders they shouldn't be affected, it's only if they took orders for stock they were anticipating getting from their supplier in the coming days.

It does say that the pharmacies can still order up to their cut-off time on the 27th, which is today. So there is still time for them to buy stock at the pre-increase price if they wish. You would also think they had already put big orders in for their current customer orders. As you say, I think it will probably most affect people who place orders now, hoping to beat the increase, rather than those with outstanding orders.

QueenOfHiraeth · 27/08/2025 10:29

I am weirdly bouncing around weight-wise too. Up and down from one weigh-in to the next with, seemingly no reason. I am tantalisingly close to 6st loss and having lost 1/3 of my start weight, I hit it for about 3 seconds last week but was so surprised I stepped off the scales and must have breathed in some calories because a pound was back when I stepped back on Grin
My one pen order from a different supplier, mine was out of stock of 12.5 and 15, is now showing as "delayed" having been approved and waiting for tracking info for over a week. Not sure if I'll get it as I think they are unlikely to get supplies before Sept 1st now

NotPerfectlyAdverage · 27/08/2025 10:47

So if they can still order up to the cut off today, why am I still waiting for a order on the 15th? I thought they couldn't get any new stock in over 2.5mg?

This entire thing is a uter shower of shit. I'm still awaiting to be approved with my previous supplier from my last order.

I don't belive anything at this point.

I wish I could bunker down until October and decide what my next steps are then. But without a pen at my normal dose to last the next four weeks this is becoming a daily task just checking for availability

But apparently the pharmacies are being limited to only ordering in similar quantities to what they usually ordered before the announcement. So if they sold 2 or 3 or 10 times their usually daily quantity immediately after the announcement they can’t then replace that stock to sell to their regular customers (looking at you Family Chemist 😡) or to new customers looking to stock up.

Given pen expiry dates are 12-18 months from when you receive it, if Eli Lilly didn’t limit supplies to pharmacies, everyone could just buy the max number of pens they could afford now to dodge the price increase for as long as they could. I can see why EL have done it but it means some people have no pens to take their regular dose now and some have multiple pens in a stockpile.

NotPerfectlyAdverage · 27/08/2025 11:09

It could have been handled so much better. I was always ordering at my last shot, sometimes just as I did it so I only ever had one pen at a time. My last supplier IQ Dr won't repeat my order of 10 or move me up to 12.5mg because it's over four weeks since reorder. They won't me to go down to 5mg. While I wait weeks for them to get someone to actually approve or reject that, I get closer to 6 -8 weeks so no one approves you. So I ordered from Medexpress as they are a past supplier. But that's just sitting there awaiting approval too with radio silence while others have ordered 12.5mg after me and had it shipped.

Monj shows IQ Dr and Medexpress as out of stock. If they ever get around to approval I will be out of window from last order.

I have just tried Juniper right now as they have stock. I have one pen I am half dosing from as I don't know when I will get another pen. I'm looking to either further half that dose for the final two shots so I can come off or the alternative is too run out on 10mg.

This isn't what I signed up for. Right now I only have the option to stop cold turkey on 10mg or microdose. Both are without my prescribed advice as I can't get hold of them. I'm too worried to point out I'm past 6 weeks and too worried to say I'm eating out a pen.

Choux · 27/08/2025 11:31

@NotPerfectlyAdverageHave IQ doctor specifically said that they won’t supply as it’s over 4 weeks since last order as when you order doesn’t equate to when you take it. You might have had a few doses in hand as you once ordered early as you were going to be on holiday when you would normally have ordered. Tell suppliers that when trying to order and point out you have been trying to order for nearly two weeks now.

Plus the Mounjaro patient info leaflet says you can miss a dose and then continue at the same dose. I think IQ Doctor are out of stock right now and are looking for reasons to not supply without telling you that.

Choux · 27/08/2025 11:35

Med express seem a bit more flexible about gaps between orders. Maybe your order will come through or maybe you will have to pay September prices next week.

i would say that you had doses in hand so have been taking full doses with no break or missed doses. Say what you need to to get a pen and then you can decide based on what you have taken recently and previous side effects as you moved up doses how much to take to get back on track.

Theresalotgoingon · 27/08/2025 11:37

Hi all I haven't posted yet on this thread but started in January and am now at BMI 23 having been with IQ Doctor all the way through. I normally order when I need it and made an order on 15th when the news of price rises broke (10 days before I needed). I heard nothing from them despite chasing so managed to get one from Pharmacy2U as a new customer in the mean time.

I have just had a dispatch notification from IQDoctor which I honestly had given up on so anyone that did order and is sitting in processing it might just be ok.

KeepUndercover · 27/08/2025 11:43

@NotPerfectlyAdverage iQ Doctor have been fine with me in the past having a longer gap between orders, I just told them I had been ahead on pens and was catching up. Bolt pharmacy have asked me the same before and were fine when I emailed them to explain. I imagine IQ Doctor are being slow because of the number of orders. Hopefully suppliers will be a bit understanding about longer gaps with this mess going on. I would just always say "I ordered early a few times so had surplus pens".

I have decided I am quite happy with how Bolt have been through this. They didn't allow buying of multiple pens and wouldn't let me order early. But when my order window reopened on Monday I had a 10mg pen ordered, approved and dispatched yesterday and it turned up today. I'm quite glad I went back to them last time there were pen shortages and IQ Doctor couldn't supply me. Not sure what they've been like for new customers through this latest one.

Choux · 27/08/2025 11:44

So looking ahead to September pricing, Monj says these are the cheapest for 10mg. Who are Curely, Get a Drip and AYP? Has anyone used them before?

Get A Drip is not a name that fills me with confidence! I'm assuming they were originally one of those places selling dubious vitamin/rehydration drips as a wellness fad.

If I was a provider I wouldn't rush to buy in lots of stock right now even at the pre-increase price. If people can't afford to pay the new prices, you could end up sitting on loads of unsellable stock. I'm basing that, however, on the assumption they won't be able to offer any pre-increase stock at a lower price once deadline kicks in for risk of upsetting the manufacturer.

Theresalotgoingon · 27/08/2025 12:01

Get A Drip were a pain - I Signed up when IQ Doctor were delaying my delivery and they approved me but their discount codes didn't work so 10mg was £299 rather than the price advertised on Monj. They keep sending me discount codes to get me to order and every time at checkout the discount code wasn't valid so i've given up and unsubscribed.

I explained that I had started late after getting my first pen so I was a pen ahead, then I'd been on holiday so didn't want to reorder early due to medexpress taking over a week to approve and therefore having to hold my order.

They didn't reply and that was the last in the conversation. So the help ticket was still saying waiting for my reply. When I quired this and if they really was still waiting on me, the reply was again I'd unlikely be approved.

If its a delay tactic it's not very nice. They could have just said that it will be looked at clinical review point. I posted my half used pen next to my box to prove I had it still in use.

Get a Drip doesn’t get great reviews wherever you look, Curely are subscription based, seen mixed feedback on them. Not heard of AYP until this week, they appear to be relatively new, 3.2 rated on trustpilot.

Cantonet · 27/08/2025 12:39

I'm relieved to report that Asda have finally come up trumps. My two pens ordered nearly 2 weeks ago are finally on their way. I didn't order anywhere else as I couldn't see the point in panicking. In fact I think this thread rather than being calm encouraged multiple orders & mass stress. Though it's easy for me to say after living through the Ozempic/Wegovy debacle when I also panicked 😉

Does anyone know if it is possible to switch pharmacies with a BMI of 25? I am down to my last dose and worried about the lack of stock with my current pharmacy (have a delivery booked for this weekend but...)

my bmi is 25 and IQ doctor and Faramcie both prescribed to me , new customer to both

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 27/08/2025 13:06

Lotus, who gave a good initial impression, have not delivered the pen I ordered on the 18th, or given any update for a full week now. No reply to my emails. I didn't want to clog up their system with enquires while it was clear they were overwhelmed, but when they say 'sorry for the delay, we expect you'll receive tracking in 1-2 days' and nearly a week later you still haven't heard anything... 🤷🏻‍♀️

OP posts:
QueenOfHiraeth · 27/08/2025 14:56

@KeepUndercover My pen that has been approved for over a week but is now marked delayed is a 12.5 from Bolt as a new customer. My friend ordered earlier the same day and has had a notification that it should arrive today although, oddly, mine was approved a day before hers.
If they weren't so busy I'd suggest they send me a 10mg and partial refund if there is going to be a problem but I suspect they are still swamped and I'm just likely to cause chaos!
Their systems do look good though

Yes I have been with them since I started in June and I’d highly recommend them! Place my order and it’s usually approved and shipped the next day with RM
