Sorry if it's been asked/mentioned - but does anyone use SheMed here? I've just started, and had an email that there'd be more information on the price increase after the bank holiday.

Wondering what to do now, whether to go ahead and pay the £189 for the 2.5 in the hope that they do actually follow through with the consultation they describe and agree the higher pen I need.

I don’t want to pay £189 and be sent the wrong pen. Has anyone else had this with Juniper and did they come good with actually correcting the doseage and sending the right dose pen?

I have, it is how the juniper system is set up, they approved my request for 15mg despite it being my first order with them and my BMI being under 25.

Don't pay £189 though, there's £75 discount code on monj that you can use.

SwitchingUpWLI · 26/08/2025 12:10

So I decided to go for it with Juniper. They asked additional information after the payment page and there was a box you could type other information into so I put that I needed a 15mg pen there together with photo proof of the higher dose pen, so hopefully it will go through. They also had a £75 off discount for first order (listed on monj.co.uk) which worked,

Hey, the chat board is full up on the other thread about increase but wanted to reply to a message from a poster about the situation with Juniper (in case they have moved over)

So registered with Juniper and the ordering page would only allow you to select the 2.5 starter dose (I need 15). This was £189.

I emailed them to query if I could order a 15 as they appeared to have stock and didn’t want to order a low dose pen I can’t use. This is the email reply I got back:

Alec (Juniper - UK)

Hi,

Thank you for your message. To clarify, yes — you will need to pay first before the initial consultation. During that consultation, your prescriber will review your case and recommend the dose that is most appropriate for you.

At that stage, you’ll be asked to approve the dosage before anything is sent out. If you don’t wish to proceed with the prescribed dose, you can cancel and request a refund. If you do proceed, the price will then be adjusted according to the dosage prescribed (so you won’t be charged for a 2.5 mg pen if that isn’t suitable for you).

This way, you’ll only receive and pay for the treatment that is clinically appropriate and that you agree to.

Best regards,
Alec

Well that’s put me off Juniper

Hi @StrikeForever it looks like this is just the way Juniper is set up - please see update as above from @WorriedRelative as it looks like they do approve requests for higher strengths which is good

I’ll post back here with an update once they’ve processed my request but am hoping, after reading @WorriedRelative ’s post that they will approve mine too

gimmemounjaro · 26/08/2025 12:22

Has anyone ordered from Simple Online Pharmacy lately? I can’t see any info about stock levels on the website and don’t want to order if it’s going to end up cancelled after a week or whatever. Monj says all doses in stock but I’m aware that can be out of date.

It is actually better than the others as they only hold payment for the lowest dose until you are approved, whereas others take the lot upfront.

Cloud and IQ both held payment for a full 15mg until they had reviewed my consultation and then said they would refund within 5 days when they turned me down.

Curate still have my money for a 15mg pending a video call, which they didn't have availability for until September.

Juniper reviewed my consultation and sent a message within 48hrs including the weekend and bank holiday. They initially wanted to give me 12.5mg which is what I am currently on but following a brief message exchange where I explained my goal they approved the 15mg. Once approved they took the difference between the payment I had made and the cost of the 15mg.

Hope this helps explain how it works.

I have nothing to gain and no connection to Juniper, it is my first order with them, I was very stressed about getting a pen as my long term supplier was out of stock.

Bigfatbees · 26/08/2025 12:34

Has anyone had this happen and could offer advice?

My pen should have come Friday 22nd, Royal Mail, time slot and everything. It didn't turn up, and has finally come today. It's clearly not cold at all, inside the cool bag was room temp. I'm presuming it's been in storage or worse, a warm van the whole time. I've had no replies from either Zava or RM despite messaging any way i can find, and Zava have turned their phones off.

I'm presuming that the pen is unlikely to be usuable? Also that Zava are the ones with the duty to get it delivered cold?

I took a delivery from them on Sunday, but I believe they are only taking orders from existing customers

I’m thinking about proof of weight as a previous poster raised a good point about this, that some providers may be reluctant to take switchers for continued treatment or maintenance without proof (basically proof of obesity) and whether this will become a ‘closed door’ to those who have successfully lost but want to remain on MJ to lose the last bit and/or for maintenance. Wondering if, further down the line, it may become harder to switch without proof of obesity.

Am due to see my Gp for a check up and think I might ask if they can do weight and height on nhs print out paper with my details and the date etc. Might need to pay but that would be ok if means switching at lower weights (below obese threshold) is possible

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 26/08/2025 12:56

I've just given up after an unbelievably frustrating experience trying to get 7.5mg from Juniper. Their website crashed while taking my payment across two different browsers. Looks like this is the push I needed to make the decision to switch to Wegovy for maintenance from my usual provider.

FurForksSake · 26/08/2025 12:59

Went through my nhs app to look for proof of weight and height, I was weighed and measured apparently before a surgery a couple of years ago. Except I know they didn’t as my height is 5cm more than I actually am! So I can’t use that as proof. I do wonder if I gave them the figures to massage down my bmi out of shame…

Thanks I found it really encouraging to read this and gave me the confidence to go ahead and order with Juniper.

Same here others have taken pull payment but later turned me down and refunded. Your Medicals still have my money from 15/8 and heard nothing from them! 😭

Ah that’s a pain @VelociraptorsVelociRapping :( maybe worth trying again though, it processed my payment ok not long ago maybe there was just a temporary glitch

SecretSquirrel703 · 26/08/2025 13:07

i haven't checked the main board yet, but are there any updates at all on stock position? I've just looked on Monj, which has info. regarding wholessalers not fulfilling orders to pharmacies, & 2 previous suppliers that i've used, but they haven't updated their websites for over a week!

Black hole of no information or what?! So many ppl in limbo not knowing when their next order is going to arrive, if it even does. Many that have ordered have had orders cancelled & offered the same at a much higher price. What a ridiculous situation, how customers are being treated is appalling by many pharmacies.

Helpful info from monj about raising a complaint if needed

gimmemounjaro · 26/08/2025 13:09

Thanks @HappyWineDay that’s good news. I am an existing customer and last ordered a couple of weeks ago so fingers crossed I can get one more pen at the old prices.

Yeah I did the same, went through nhs app looking for proof of weight and height but nada. Could have sworn they did it a couple of years ago but nothing on the app unfortunately. I’ve got half a stone before crossing into ‘overweight’ bmi threshold so going to try Gp and see if they can do the proof when I’m there next while am still obese

The hoops we have to jump through for this stuff, anyone else feeling like the hoops have got smaller and higher recently?…

HappyWineDay · 26/08/2025 13:18

A few people have said that orders are now coming through so it appears to me as if there's a few pharmacies have received extra stock all at the same time

MissMogs · 26/08/2025 14:08

I’m new to Juniper but pleasantly surprised so far. It’s an unusual ordering system which made me a bit worried too - paying upfront before knowing what was agreed - but it was fairly quick, and I had an actual to and fro conversation with a doctor which is v reassuring and more than any other prescriber has done. All agreed now and balance paid, so I’ll report back when it arrives!

I’m worried that we’re all about to be shoved into an endless cycle of obesity-to-slimness because even if you’re willing to pay the silly prices to stay at a healthy weight, the panic about misuse has become so loud we’d rather force cycles of “need” rather than just let anyone pay to stick at a healthy weight.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/08/2025 15:39

I’ve applied it juniper with £75 off and free scales code

WeAllHaveWings · 26/08/2025 16:39

Oushk have sent out their prices with a code for £15 off.

Maintenance will have a code for flat £20 off (instead of %), but no longer free P&P.

Hmmmm, not a fan of advertising for 7.2 as a huge jump when there’s no confirmation of when it’s on sale
