Alternatives to oushk - who allows maintenance?

LifeOfAShowGirl · 21/08/2025 10:59

I have been with Oushk since nearly the start of my journey. I was drawn in by their maintenance plans but their handling of this entire price rise issue has been absolutely awful. A week after advising everyone to buy three pens because they were only selling the stock they actually had, it’s come out that they also made sales on the basis of stock they were expecting to have in, and as it now transpires, they may not be receiving all of that stock until the price rises have occurred.

ive still got a long way to go and I’m moving up to 15mg with this order (if I get it!). Who else is supporting maintenance?

I'm sticking with Medicine Marketplace. No faffing around trying to get discount codes and they do maintenance down to 19.5. Not that I'll be getting anywhere close to that!

That's good to hear because I am thinking of switching to them. They seem to be very good on price and service.

My oushk order for delivery tomorrow was confirmed yesterday & I've got the tracking numbers for it today. It's always been done a day or 2 before so this isn't new.

Personally I'm sticking with Oushk, I think they've been as clear as they can be as its eli lilly who have been forcing through these changes & also restricting orders after they've been made.

I've been very happy with Oushk. I also think they've done their best during the last couple of weeks.
I'm considering moving for one reason only, price. They haven't published actual prices from 1st Sept yet but they've suggested around £320 for 15mg. That's £50 a pen more than Medicine Marketplace who have confirmed their prices.
Much as I'd love to stay with Oushk it's too much extra to pay given the massive increases in price anyway. But I will wait and see what their actual prices are when they publish them.

KrankyKumquat · 22/08/2025 08:45

@IsItSnowing
I'm with you on this. If you filter out all the SM nonsense, the bad actors and the inexplicable obsession people who've never been a customer of theirs seem to have, oushk are just a pharmacy supplying a medication. I've been with them over a year, never had a problem, and, for maintenance, they've been very good compared to many others. If the maintenance discount goes and they're too expensive, I'll move.
Some companies have taken orders, cancelled them due to 'lack of stock', offered replacements at increased prices, then charged £10 to cancel the order. It's beyond me why everyone just shrugs at blatant profiteering like this, but are all over Oushk for having the same logistic issues every other pharmacy has had. Even people who've managed to order 2 pens this month are complaining they can't have 3; it's bat shit.

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 22/08/2025 08:57

I am with Pharmulous who have quietly supported maintenance right from the start and would highly recommend them. Unfortunately, at the moment that are not taking on new customers and do not have any stock but long term they are a really good bet.

If I were to move, I think it would be to Swift Dr as they have been cheaper but who knows what will happen in the next few weeks.

HereIGoOnceMore · 22/08/2025 09:03

Just tried to order from Pharmulous as I’m losing confidence in Oushk and am worried that Thursday’s delivery might not happen.

Annoyingly, I completed the online consultation but then when I got to the order page the only option was to order Wegovy. Arghhhh.

Itscoldouthere · 22/08/2025 09:04

I will also be looking at price as I’m in maintenance and heading for the low levels, I’ve been happy with Oushk but I don’t need all the drama.
My BMI is the only thing that might stop me moving as it’s currently 21.5 and some don’t take you on with BMI under 23, I think Oushk may have even brought in that rule, I’m waiting to see what they offer for maintenance as their maintenance codes did make it cheaper.

Oushk have promised that all existing order will be fulfilled but may be late. I'm keep my fingers crossed that this is the case.

Yellowsubmarine55 · 22/08/2025 09:48

Just to update, the order I placed late on Thursday night has just arrived. In time, frozen ice pack still. Phew!

As a pp said above, strip out the drama, the love for the owners etc and it'll just be a pharmacy that is supplying your medicine. So if they don't have the right price point for you when they announce them and somewhere else does then we'd all be silly to pay more just because.

Scarlettpixie · 22/08/2025 18:18

For those waiting for Oousk orders, they are dealing with much higher volumes than usual and working overtime to fulfill them. In my case, my order was approved and despatched around lunchtime on Wed for delivery on Thurs. They have said they are approving orders with less than 24 hours to go in some cases whereas it is usually more like 48 hours before delivery just because of the volumes they are dealing with.

Lazygardener · 22/08/2025 18:38

I placed an order with Oushk last Friday. It was approved today for delivery on Sunday. That’s quite normal, they don’t approve until a few days before delivery.

1clavdivs · 22/08/2025 19:31

Mine was apparently dispatched yesterday, due today. It didn't arrive, and it appears Royal Mail haven't received it yet. I don't mind as long as it's cold when it gets here, but was wondering if anyone else had similar?

doodleschnoodle · 22/08/2025 19:32

DH’s pens got dispatched on correct day but then both delayed for a day with DPD. They are here now, first was borderline with temperature but tonight’s delivery was cooler.

Zempy · 22/08/2025 21:26

It’s all very stressful. I hope it settles down soon.

PenelopePoweringOn · 22/08/2025 21:38

I also think that Ouskh's handling of last week's news was dreadful and am leaving them after not buying from anywhere else before. I did get my order @LifeOfAShowGirl , on the date requested, but I can't get past them advising everyone to buy three pens on a live because the price increases blew their business model out of the water.

I'm nowhere near maintenance yet but I ordered a pen from Farmeci which arrived promptly.

HereIGoOnceMore · 22/08/2025 21:48

Those who have managed to change - are you putting your starting weight or your current? I’ve just been rejected by medexpress and the only reason I can think of is that my BMI is now below 26.

PenelopePoweringOn · 22/08/2025 21:56

My BMI is 29.5 @HereIGoOnceMore so high end of overweight but I had to put both start and current weight in at Farmeci.

WorriedRelative · 22/08/2025 22:11

My order with Cloud has been rejected with no reason given. My order with Oushk was approved and is saying it was dispatched yesterday for delivery today. Really hoping it arrives tomorrow as otherwise the cold chain will have been broken as they won't deliver until Tuesday with the bank holiday

ReluctantCustomer · 24/08/2025 08:05

I'm currently with Oushk on 7.5, never been into the cult of personality that the users adopt. The reason for using them was because I saw this as a long term commitment, and they were known for maintenance programmes. Now that they aren't so unique in that respect, I'm going to be shopping around.

Hopefully my new pen will arrive this coming Thursday!

OushkSmoushk · 26/08/2025 16:38

LifeOfAShowGirl · 21/08/2025 21:15

They don’t have any stock, they’ve had limits put on them by the supplier.

The handling of the entire thing just feels a bit off to me, and I’ve seen through the cult a bit I think

I agree, OP. They've never been able to handle changes well.

On a related note, I can almost hear the feet stomping by the ever-present cult member Oushk fan and brand promoter in here.Grin Somehow they know who's with Oushk and who hasn't ordered before. Funny that. Have a day off! Your company won't close down because a few people are having a moan about it. It's like they can't stand anything but praise for their beloved Hira and Oushk. Let people vent fgs

<And going back to ignoring their rant and threats>Wink

WorriedRelative · 26/08/2025 17:16

I heard back from oushk apologising and offering to rearrange delivery, I don't think it was dispatched.

That's fine, I'm not in a hurry.

Definitely not a cult member, I have been with them for most of my journey because I liked their maintenance options, the ability to select a delivery date and dislike shopping around chasing discounts. I don't think they do themselves any favours with knee jerk reactions on lives, but the service is normally pretty good.

1clavdivs · 26/08/2025 21:15

@WorriedRelative I had the same, and agree it doesn't look like it was dispatched. They've rearranged another one to be delivered this week.

Wingingit11 · 31/08/2025 19:12

I have a couple of pens in hand but am currently thinking will move to pharmulous at that point, like others above I’ve found O’s comms chaotic, including the recent pricing info which is a bit misleading as the table includes an initial discount by the looks of it

IsItSnowing · 31/08/2025 22:11

I have decided to move. I think Oushk’s new prices are too high for me. Looking for someone maintenance friendly so probably Medicine Marketplace or Pharmulous. Both are cheaper and seem to have a good reputation.

SwitchingUpWLI · 01/09/2025 13:42

Yeah I’m thinking the same @IsItSnowing. I think I’ll wait a bit, until we’re a few weeks into Sept then see how much MMP and Pharmulous are cheaper by.

WorriedRelative · 01/09/2025 15:19

I'm not impressed with their handling of this and the prices seem high. I'll keep it under review but so far Juniper have given me a discount which makes them cheaper, so I will have another pen from them and I will consider Pharmulous or MMP when they start taking new customers again.
