Alternatives to oushk - who allows maintenance?

LifeOfAShowGirl · 21/08/2025 10:59

I have been with Oushk since nearly the start of my journey. I was drawn in by their maintenance plans but their handling of this entire price rise issue has been absolutely awful. A week after advising everyone to buy three pens because they were only selling the stock they actually had, it’s come out that they also made sales on the basis of stock they were expecting to have in, and as it now transpires, they may not be receiving all of that stock until the price rises have occurred.

ive still got a long way to go and I’m moving up to 15mg with this order (if I get it!). Who else is supporting maintenance?

Cloud and Pharmulous are the big two. I’ve only used Cloud before but found them very efficient.

LifeOfAShowGirl · 21/08/2025 11:21

have cloud confirmed their pricing?

To be fair to Oushk they said available stock, which in supply planning usually means stock on hand and confirmed deliveries. Fridge capacity probably isn't huge so they will have regular, probably several, inbound deliveries every week.

Could any pharmacy in the first hours/day of this fiasco anticipated wholesalers letting them down and Eli Lilly pulling the plug on confirmed orders/allocations......perhaps, perhaps not. I don't think even Eli Lilly knew they would be enforcing additional restrictions.

They are not the only pharmacy where customers have been impacted in the same way and they struggled to handle it - most were allowing additional orders as a way of showing support to customers - there are customers from other pharmacies trying to get the higher doses from other suppliers because they also can't from their own pharmacy, many have closed to new customers now - Oushk are not alone in this.

It has barely been 5 (working) days since the Eli Lilly announcement was unexpectedly and publicly made and caused panic, no pharmacy have planned for anything as extreme as this.

I’m just not a fan of the back and forth, and the fact they seem to be saying one thing publicly and another privately to people. My order is due on Saturday and it’s still not been approved

@LifeOfAShowGirl your order will be authorised today and dispatched tomorrow for delivery Saturday. It's always been this timescale and it hasn't changed so I think you're being a bit unfair.

Their comments have been upfront and honest so I don't have any issues with it

Fatmumslim01 · 21/08/2025 13:19

I was also thinking of going with oushk for maintenance but not sure for a variety of reasons.

I've heard good things about pharmolous. I don't think they have confirmed their September prices yet though.

Although does anyone know, if I'm hoping to maintain around BMI 25-27, will I need a "maintenance pharmacy" or will "regular" pharmacies let you go down that low?

Usually by now it’s been approved for Saturday delivery. There’s multiple comments on the community about orders being delayed with no comment from them, it’s been 4 days since I text them and no answer.

I checked my previous orders and it's normally approved 2 days before delivery. I have a delivery due Saturday and mine hasn't been approved yet either. Luckily I'm off on leave 2 weeks but if I wasn't I'd be screwed as I work Monday to Friday and there is no-one at home to accept a delivery

My later order has been approved but not my earlier one! All a bit bizarre

I'm sticking with Medicine Marketplace. No faffing around trying to get discount codes and they do maintenance down to 19.5. Not that I'll be getting anywhere close to that!

QueenOfHiraeth · 21/08/2025 16:08

Swift Doctor do maintenance as well. They are reasonably priced (so far) and although, as one of the smaller players, they have had problems with not receiving orders, they have been excellent at communicating with their regular patients

HansHolbein · 21/08/2025 16:09

Also rate Swift.

How much are their different strength please? Google isn't being helpful. Just, says from £119

bigbella26 · 21/08/2025 16:30

Lotus have been great for me since I moved from Oushk. My BMI was 26 when I moved and the process was ultra quick and I got my pen the next day. They’ve been pretty good during this mayhem although I believe they are only taking orders from existing customers at the moment. Website says they have all strengths in stock so they’ve managed well. Hopefully they’ll open up to new customers soon.

SwitchingUpWLI · 21/08/2025 17:03

Thanks for the thread and I’ll be interested to follow as also having doubts as to continuing on with Oushk.

I got rejected as a new customer to Pharmulous (couldn’t order my regular pen through Oushk when everything kicked off last week as was out of stock). Pharmulous currently not accepting new customers but they probably will do again once orders have levelled out, prob after the Sept price changes.

SwitchingUpWLI · 21/08/2025 17:07

Sorry, re-reading their email it sounds like they may accept new patients on lower doses ( below 12.5mg):

Dear —-
Unfortunately, your Pharmulous order below has not been approved. The payment card used will not be charged.
Order summary:

Reason - Unfortunately, due to stock levels and continued national shortages of 12.5mg and 15mg, the dose ordered is reserved for existing patient. Refund initiated. Please allow 5010 working days for the refund to be processed - 18.08.25
Kind regards,

Pharmulous Team

SwitchingUpWLI · 21/08/2025 17:09

Haha hoping the refund timescale is a typo, 5010 days is rather a loooong time to wait for a refund! 😂

Mine has just been approved 2 mins ago. 2 x 10mg for Saturday delivery. I didn't order anymore as tapering down. There may be hope for you yet!

1clavdivs · 21/08/2025 20:43

My Oushk order, due tomorrow, was approved yesterday. I don't remember them being approved particularly far in advance generally.

Tryingmybest100 · 21/08/2025 20:49

My oushk order for delivery tomorrow was confirmed yesterday & I've got the tracking numbers for it today. It's always been done a day or 2 before so this isn't new.

Personally I'm sticking with Oushk, I think they've been as clear as they can be as its eli lilly who have been forcing through these changes & also restricting orders after they've been made.

Mounraine · 21/08/2025 21:06

Oushk are refusing to sell anything above 2.5mg. I’m in no hurry for my next pen but wanted to order it at current prices. But frustrating that they allowed people to order three pens. But I guess it came down to greed and money in the end.

They don’t have any stock, they’ve had limits put on them by the supplier.

The handling of the entire thing just feels a bit off to me, and I’ve seen through the cult a bit I think

Thanks for starting this thread. I’m currently with Oushk and have been pleased with them up to now. The supply issues haven’t been well handled though for existing customers. I already had a 10mg pen on order the day before Eli Lilly dropped the bomb. Since then I’ve managed to order one more pen, which is coming tomorrow. I’ve also ordered two pens from Health Express (not sure if they do maintenance?). So, by tomorrow I’ll have four pens.
So now I’m looking to register/order from another pharmacy doing maintenance, just to keep options open. Does anyone know if any of the maintenance pharmacies are accepting new patients?
It’ll be interesting to see how the pharmacies handle people who don’t need to order for a while as they have a stockpile. I guess that’s the problem for all of us who have a few pens in stock.

They haven't announced prices from September and are not accepting any orders at present so I can't see either I'm afraid.
They were pretty competitive, I think I paid £154 for a 15mg last time. I found them on https://weightlossuk.co.uk/price/ price comparison site and have found them excellent. I hope to stay with them, prices permitting
