A thread for NSVs

I thought with all the negativity and panic it would be nice to share some NSVs that we’ve all had. I’ll start with, I’ve lost so much weight from my face that now when I’m sleep deprived my under eyes don’t look hollow, but instead I get eye bags. Never had that happen before!

Going shopping today and finding plenty of choice in my size!

Bibulous · 19/08/2025 16:35

My blood pressure has gone from 140/85 to 100/70 and my plantar fasciitis vanished within a couple of weeks of starting!

MrsMiagi · 19/08/2025 17:20

My recent dentist vist- inflamed gums all gone. I am shooketh! 😂

MummyInTheNecropolis · 19/08/2025 17:28

I completed couch to 5k today. Before starting MJ I couldn’t walk for more than 10 mins without having to stop and sit down somewhere to catch my breath. Now I can run for 30 minutes straight and can walk miles!

MummyInTheNecropolis · 19/08/2025 17:30

Also, my feet are in the best condition of my life, despite all the walking and running. I used to get such sore, cracked heels and hard dry skin. I don’t have any of that anymore!

poppetandmog · 19/08/2025 17:39

Going on a seesaw at the park and being higher in the air than my husband!

SpiralSister · 19/08/2025 18:05

I particularly love that one, @poppetandmog!

SquishyGloopyBum · 19/08/2025 18:37

No more chub run shorts for me. I can now wear a dress without my thighs chafing and being on fire! 🔥

usedtobeaylis · 19/08/2025 18:48

I can see my jawline on the Teams video calls 😬

I have a jawline!

HeidiNotSoHeavy · 19/08/2025 19:02

I'm in maintenance now, lost what I needed.
So many.
No chub rub.
Can wear those built in bra tops and crop top bras - boobs were always way too heavy for this.
Had to have surgery and the consultant assured me that this type of procedure is a lot easier on slim people like me.
I actually keep the photos DH takes of me and DC and don't delete them because I hate how I look.
But the one for me - I can do pull ups! I've always worked out and lifted weights, but never been able to do a single pull up in my life. And now I can!

What a lovely thread, so positive and fab to hear everyone’s stories ❤️
Me? For as long as I can remember I’ve had to hold my breath while leaning over to cut my toenails, while my head turned purple. A couple of days ago I was amazed when I simply leaned over in the chair and did them as easy as if I was scratching my chin. It sounds like nothing but it felt life changing.

I’m losing weight slowly and don’t weigh myself very often. I have a 3 month prescription from a doctor so don’t need to keep tracking my loss. BUT I can now do up my bra on the tightest when I needed an extender before I started. I found a collar
bone on the mirror the other day 🥰 and I had to go and buy some jeans one size smaller as I couldn’t keep any of my old ones from slipping down! Highly satisfying
