Since you started your journey, how much have you lost and how’s it really feeling for you?

I will have been on it 6 months on Thursday, so have taken 26 shots. I have lost 22.5kg so far. I am staying on a low dose, to ensure a slow and steady loss

Well done! Reading this thread is very encouraging... I'm just about to start.

What low dose have you stayed with? I'd like to go slow amd steady too. I have about 3.5 stone to lose.

I've lost 1st 5lbs in 4 months. Quite disappointed. These threads are always full of people who have lost so much, so quickly. Jealous! Posting to give some balance, in case there are others out there.

Can I ask what your starting weight or bmi was? It can be slower if you don't have so much to lose. However, you're losing at a rate of about a pound a week, which is still very good. Slow and steady is often recommended. I lost at that rate or a little slower even, when I was doing intermittent fasting, and I was delighted!

@TheyCallMeStaceythey are running studies with type 1. The main worry seems to be the increased risk of hypoglycaemia, and conversely DKA, but I think that can surely be countered by tightly monitoring insulin. Mounjaro seems the best chance and it would have to be done under proper supervision (my friend just buys hers off her pharmacist without any consultation). In the US (and perhaps here) clinicians have prescribed Mounjaro for Type 1 diabetes despite it not being approved. And they suggest things like reducing insulin by 20-30%, and instead of starting in the typical 2.5 dose starting on 1 and increasing slower. But it’s not approved currently.

Thank you!

I was on 2.5mg for 6 weeks, then added a few clicks over 3-4 weeks to slowly get to 3.75mg, where I stayed for 5 weeks. This was followed by 10 weeks at 5mg. I have just gone up to 6.25mg for the past 2 weeks.

I hope to stay at this dose until I have lost the final 5-8kg (not sure at what point I will stick at until I get there and it feels right). But if I need to go up to 7.5mg because the effectiveness wears off, I will do.
