How much weight have you lost?

Since you started your journey, how much have you lost and how’s it really feeling for you?

OP posts:

2 stone in 8 weeks. I have massively changed my diet from snacking on chocolate all the time and overeating at meal times to a calorie deficit with lots of protein.
I also exercise 6 days a week and before I was doing zero.
It's been hard, but the food noise has been the big change for me.
I also found the higher doses made me ill and made me lose too fast, so I moved back to a lower dose.

PurpleCoo · 13/08/2025 06:01

I forgot to say how I am feeling. On the whole great. My IBS (food sensitively related) seems to be all but cured, minor aches and niggles have improved. Energy levels are better, concentration is much better. I haven't experienced any side effects. The whole process has been smooth and straight forward. I will miss the non diet related benefits of MJ when I am no longer on it.

I haven't made huge changes to my diet, as it was already pretty good, I just had too large portions and too many snacks due to constant hunger, plus I have less treats now.

Exercise was already high, but I have added in 1 extra swim, body pump twice a week and pilates once a week.

21lbs (9.5kg) in a month! Feeling slimmer definitely. Only tired if I don’t drink enough.

Terracottafarmers · 13/08/2025 07:37

3.5 stone.

ThumbTowers · 13/08/2025 07:46

I've lost 1st 5lbs in 4 months. Quite disappointed. These threads are always full of people who have lost so much, so quickly. Jealous! Posting to give some balance, in case there are others out there.

Over 2 stone since Feb. 12stone down to 9stone 10. Taking 7.5mg mounjaro.

I’m 12 stone but don’t qualify for any weight loss drugs (I’m guessing I’m taller than you!) I really need to lose the 2 stone!

congrats! 💐

susiedaisy1912 · 13/08/2025 07:53

80lbs over 17 months. Very sensitive to Mounjaro so still only on 6.25mg dose as any higher and I seemed to be ill. I track calories and prioritise protein. I feel do much better it’s been life changing for me. Still have another 30lbs to loose.

Wallywobbles · 13/08/2025 07:54

29kg in 15 months. Been on MJ for 12.
I mostly feel pretty amazing. Swimming 6x a week and walk a couple of hours a day (under desk treadmill).
BMI is still 32 so a way to go yet.

There certainly are others out there!!
It's taken me 3 months to lose 1 stone but I'm "mature" and a shortie. I know I wouldn't have done it without Mounjaro and I really do need to up my exercise. I've noticed I can lose a WHOLE pound on the weeks I've moved more.
Today will be my 2nd week of 3.75 mgs.

Wow , that’s a lot of, if you don’t mind me
asking how much did you weigh at start , or what’s your bmi ? I’ve lost about 3 stone but taken me 9 months, I’m almost at goal x

DBatteryBand · 13/08/2025 08:04

40lbs, so nearly 3 stone, since May. I have a lot of weight to shift. I am feeling much better, eating three proper meals a day (making sure I have lots of protein at each meal) and no bingeing on mountains of rubbish. I have developed a very uncharacteristic addiction to salad. It’s good to feel like I am finally in control of what I am putting in my mouth, after a lifetime of indiscriminate bingeing.

Elseaknows · 13/08/2025 08:08

3st 3.4lb since June 1st.
Started on 2.5mg, stayed on it for as long as I could. Changed to 5mg last week.

Start weight: 20st 4.4lb
Current weight: 17st 1lb

A lot. About 6 stone. So I would expect more dramatic results.

BabyCatFace · 13/08/2025 08:38

1.5 stone on ozempic in 6 months, then gained 7lbs in the GLP1 desert of 2023. Lost 7lbs on wegovy in 6 months and gained it again when I came off it for being ineffective. 2.5 stone on Mounjaro in a year. Mounjaro is the one! No calorie counting ever. I track for protein now not calories and still losing weight slowly.

spoonbillstretford · 13/08/2025 09:09

Just shy of two stone (27lbs) since 1st March. BMI 29.6 to 24.9. The lightest I've been in 17+ years, at menopause aged almost 50. I was also this weight in my late teens so it's brilliant.

InfoSecInTheCity · 13/08/2025 09:14

Started at 218lb currently 143lb so 75lb since 5th September last year. At goal now so just fine tuning with exercise and calorie tracking to try to firm up and get rid of the last bit of flab on my belly. Will be on Mounjaro long term though because I’m prescribed for Diabetes by NHS and it does a really good job of controlling my sugar levels.

MJThrowAwayName · 13/08/2025 10:55

7 stone 5 pounds started 15 months ago.

I am slim for the first time in my adult life, so after 37 years of struggling with my weight, and then the onset of obesity related illness, this feels absolutely amazing....although my brain is still struggling to catch up and I keep forgetting that I am no longer morbidly obese sometimes.

gimmemounjaro · 13/08/2025 12:19

86 lbs or 6 stone 2 since last summer. Feels absolutely mindblowingly great. My life is transformed. Currently in the first week of maintenance and so far so good, staying within the boundaries I have set for myself.

mondaytosunday · 13/08/2025 12:31

Ugh so jealous! I can’t take the injections as I have type 1 diabetes. To top it off, my bestie who I used to train with a PT together and though had much less to lose than me never took it seriously so never lost more than a couple pounds has now gone on Mounjaro and has been transformed. So green. It’s going to stigmatise those of us ‘left behind’ even more.

I’m sorry that sounds really hard. Is there anything on the horizon that might allow for type 1 diabetics to use WLI in the future? What is it about the medication that excludes type 1?

LifeOfAShowGirl · 13/08/2025 14:53

7 stone 2 pounds since August of last year. I just passed my 1 year anniversary

Lillipops · 13/08/2025 15:06

80lbs since September 24

sweetpickle2 · 13/08/2025 15:21

25kg or 3 stone 9 lbs since May last year (although I stopped between Sept-March).

Overtheatlantic · 13/08/2025 15:33

1 stone in 6 weeks, which included 2 weeks of no loss. I’m slowly figuring out how to eat proper meals instead of snacking on junk all day.

Fuelledbylatte · 13/08/2025 15:56

8 months & lost 3 stones. No calorie counting, just focus on 3 meals and protein rich.

Overall been & felt well. Occasional gastro symptoms of either constipation or diahorrea but nothing horrendous . On 7.5mg and plan to reduce down to lowest working dose.

Things that have massively improved at the same time so must be related / better with weight loss are my joint pain- shoulder in particular; alertness increase, skin evenness /no breakouts at all, sleeping.
