Today is W5D1.
I'm so delighted to have lost 11lbs in 4 weeks! I feel so much better for it already.
I've had minimal SEs, just some manageable bowel issues and a dry mouth.
I've been disappointed this week though, as the weight has stayed the same, but there has been virtually no suppression nor saiety. I've managed to eat sensibly though.
Have to keep reminding myself that 11lbs in 4 weeks is a huge amount to lose.
Additional, bonus, unexpected positives:
My brain has calmed down. Most peculiar. A day or two after the first jab I realised that my head wasn't churning endlessly, and my relentlessly present anxiety had almost disappeared. This tailed off a little towards the end of the week. I assumed some kind of placebo effect. But it has happened after every jab. I haven't felt this calm for decades (am 60), if ever.
I am sleeping incredibly well. Sleep has been an issue, again, for decades. I can't remember the last time I had a decent nights sleep. Have grown used to chronic insomnia and being awake for several hours in the night. But it's been amazing this last month!
Joint stiffness and muscle aches have definitely reduced. I struggle at the gym, and do quite a bit of flexibility work and pilates to try to alleviate the stiffness. Had a yoga class last night, which I usually hate, and it was easier, verging on enjoyable.
I had no idea that MJ could have these effects.
I'm staying on 2.5mg, which in hindsight may have been a mistake. But we have a busy month ahead, with a lot of travelling up and down the country, and sole charge DGS6 for a couple of those weeks, so staying at this dose where I know the SEs are minimal may be the best option.
I intend to go up to 5mg in September.
Finally, if you're still reading this, a huge thank you to all of you in the June group, you amazing inspirational bunch.
