@Crinklecat that’s a great NSV!

I’m about to order a top in the sale of one of my favourite brands and think I should size down but not 100% confident enough to do it…!

What is everyone looking forward to at target weight? For me it's clothes! Being able to wear whatever I want, especially dresses, that dont make me look like a pumpkin on knitting needles. I have thin legs and a rotund body shape 😆

I just can't wait to feel comfortable in social settings. Not always thinking i'm the biggest or having to try and hide myself. I cannot wait!

Do it. I bought a pair of chinos 2 years ago and have worn them for the first time today!

DownhillAllTheWay · 19/07/2025 21:10

W6D1 here. Although it might end up being W5D8 as I’m still psyching myself up for the jab. Went up to 5 and have had zero appetite all week, zero desire to eat, and ridiculous constipation.

on top of the constipation now and making myself eat my macros, coming in at around 900-1200kcsls/day and I’m down 8kg which I’m very pleased with.

it all seems to be coming off my arms though - my waist is still ginormous.

SW 92
CW 83.95
GW 60kg.

I’ve revised my goal weight downwards. Looking again at what’s normal weight for my height and realised I’ve just never even imagined coming out of overweight and sitting in the middle of healthy; I’ve always settled for hmm at least not obese. Strange shift in mindset.

current favourite meals when I’m really not wanting to eat - protein roll with spinach, cooked chicken, quark, and some fruit if I want crunchy, or avocado, smoked salmon, cottage cheese and berries with a sprinkle of mixed seeds if I need something to slip down more easily. And having one protein shake a day or I can’t get enough in.

so hoping that I can stick to low (not no) carb lifestyle once I’m down to a healthy weight; it clearly suits my body (constipation aside. Senna is my friend this week).

Crinklecat · 19/07/2025 21:20

@BadgerFace definitely get the smaller size. My aim is size 14 so was even debating getting that size but couldn’t quite commit. Its strange as if I’m committed to losing the weight why buy clothes that fit now but won’t in a couple of months

TheMagnificentBean · 19/07/2025 21:33

I’ve moved up to 5mg this week. So far (day 3) SE have been very manageable. Mild nausea and strong suppression. So for those worried about moving up - there are good news stories as well as people suffering.

I feel I’d really lost noticeable effects on 2.5mg after about week 2 so really pleased 5mg seems to have kicked things into gear again.

Catladyof7 · 19/07/2025 21:59

Crinklecat · 19/07/2025 20:39

@Catladyof7 oh no that’s annoying, did you watch the YouTube video first? I found it really helpful. It was a bit tricky to hold the syringe and pen straight but I just did it really slowly and withdrew the needle slightly as the stopper moved towards it

I bought some new pjs today, would usually get a 18 or 20 but got a 16 thinking I’ll shrink into them but they fit, still a bit tight on the tummy for pjs but they’re not stretchy and not uncomfortable

also wore a dress that has non stretchy long sleeves that was skin tight a month ago and is now slightly loose and fitting as it should again

Yes watched a couple of videos that said to put air in the syringe and do it all slowly . The syringe just wouldnt pull the liquid out .
Hope i can do it on the next pen in a few weeks.
Started the 5mg pen as this dint work.
Only did45 clicks for 3.75 .
If no problems or SE will do the 5mg next week

Catladyof7 · 19/07/2025 22:02

I tried a pair of size 16 trousers on today.
Still a bit tight , but not as tight as last week.
Feels a long way to go to get to size 10

Catladyof7 · 19/07/2025 22:10

Out of curiosity, i got weighed again tonight , i did get weighed first thing this morning .
Scales are showing 2lb heavier !

How ?

Gingercar · 19/07/2025 22:11

Sizes are just so different. I’ve lost 1 stone 10lbs. I was wearing 18s before I started (albeit squeezed in!) and yet some size 18 jeans are falling down as I walk, but another pair still feel tight. And I’ve some 18 cargo pants that won’t even pull up!

SnackcidentProne · 19/07/2025 22:14

So you may be holding extra water due to many factors but also need to take into account any foods or liquids. For example a litre of water weighs 1kg or roughly 2.2lbs

Gingercar · 19/07/2025 22:15

It’s everything you’ve eaten and drunk over the day. That’s been digested and burned by morning.

Hope so , thanks.
I have only had 900 calories all day so i thought it odd

Crinklecat · 19/07/2025 22:23

I weigh between 2-5 lbs heavier at night. I always weigh first thing

Yes i usually do .
I just did it tonight out of curiosity, wont do it again 🤣

RussianDoll76 · 19/07/2025 22:55

Im the whole clothes debate I’ve decided as I have had a nsv of 2 sizes down i am treating myself to an outfit from vinted that way I won’t feel too bad when I go lower and I will resell when it’s too big 😉🤞 Order went in today . Feel quite excited 😝

RatherTardy · 20/07/2025 08:18

Morning all.

I've had a bit of a week.
The effing needles FINALLY arrived from bloody Pharmacy2U (only took 10 days, 2 emails and 3 phone calls from me to make this happen 🙄🙄🙄)
I've not lost weight this week, but I've had a tricky week in terms of lots of social things going on. All involving food, obvs. I've eaten WAAAAAAAAY less than I would have done, but more than I am eating on the jabs normally (and having an uncomfortable tummy as a result, which has been uncomfortable and unpleasant). And was really only eating what I ate to be polite and not draw attention.

@BadgerFace
I'd say look at weightloss pattern. If you get current size, how many wears are you likely to get before it's too big? If not many, wait a week or two and get the smaller size

RatherTardy · 20/07/2025 08:18

Edited.
No idea why that posted twice!

BadgerFace · 20/07/2025 08:29

I bottled it and bought size 14, I think I might have been influenced partly because I’m on holiday and have eaten and drunk much more this week than the last 7 weeks so probably can’t believe I will ever be a size 12… I’ve bought T-shirts rather than trousers so if the 14s ends up being a bit big I think that’s okay. I can always wear them for working from home!

We go home tomorrow and I’m going to have to fight the urge to weigh myself until I’ve had a week of eating better again. I have been pretty good this week for meals and stayed quite low carb but have been eating crisps and sweets. Less than I usually would but still more than I should when I’m trying to lose weight. Also need to start thinking about whether to go up to 5mg for my next pen. Back to real life very soon!

@RatherTardy i can’t believe it took 10 days for your needles to come!!

@RussianDoll76 two sizes down is amazing! What type of outfit have you bought?

Itsjunedeer · 20/07/2025 08:29

I’m joining the ‘seem to be doing everything right but nothing happening this week’ bench. Have had some desire to snack and probably overall not drunk enough water so that may have impacted the lack of movement on the scales but still hugely down on my daily calorie intake. I guess like most of us I am committing a sizeable chunk of money to see results and was expecting WLI to really boost the loss. A Facebook friend claims to have lost 3 stone in 3 months! I have seen the before and after and she is a real person who is unlikely to fake things or fudge the truth. I wasn’t expecting that level of loss for myself but a steady drop week by week of a couple of pounds would keep me motivated and justify the cost.

I will endeavour to drink more this week and meal plan to ensure enough of the right things are eaten at the right times.

End of week 5 - no change- 16st 4lbs.

Mumofteens20 · 20/07/2025 08:42

I have noticed if I don’t drink as much water I don’t lose any weight. The more water I drink, the more weight comes off, so really trying to drink min 1.5l of water each day. I am on W6 D2 and have lost 13lb in total since I started, and been on holiday for a week, where I only gained 0.5lb. I did go to 5mg and had 2nd dose yesterday. Other than mild nausea, not having any SE. Now wondering do I just stay on 5mg or go up to 7.5mg for next pen. Has anyone made the leap to 7.5mg yet?

Crinklecat · 20/07/2025 08:50

@Itsjunedeer ive beeb wondering if it’s the focus on protein I’m making this time. I’m eating around 1200 calories or less a day, which is what I would usually do when dieting but apart from the quick first stone it’s really slowed for me. I looked at what I’m losing (muscle/ fat ratio) and it’s the same as when I just calorie count so it’s not that I’m building/ maintaining muscle more. Although I really wish I’d done measurements as I think the MJ has changed how/ where I lose the weight as my tummy, while still big seems smaller and less low

I totally get that it’s hard for the brain to accept the changes in sizes I think. For me 2 sizes down is probably because wearing baggier clothes to hide the fat and now it’s melting away I feel more confident to go a bit fitted . I’ve bought a fitted but floaty skirt ( I never wear skirts normally) a bodysuit ( being all brave) and a pair of sandals to match ( no one will recognise me 😂) scared it won’t fit scared I will look silly but love the idea of it so trying it out.

you have done so well to go away and make good choices it means the retraining is working and yes don’t weigh yourself when you come home I was devastated when I came home from holiday 7lbs up !! 😳. I thought I’d lost too! After a week of lots of water and good behaviours I weighed 9lbs less so 2lbs but so relieved and had a miserable few days because I’d weighed . Lesson learned 😂.

UglyBastardFace · 20/07/2025 09:16

Alas fellow jabbers, I'm going to take a week off.

Two days ago was due my 8th jab but sheer exhaustion meant I was sleeping 12 hrs straight. Yesterday spent all day in bed with muscle aches and exhaustion. This week I've skipped the gym as I did not have the energy and struggling not to have midday naps.

I checked on Shotsy App (worth getting just to check the culminating amount of MJ in your system) and I have 2.74mg in my system. Will wait it out this week and go back to 2.5mg next week.
