Hi I'm on week 3, injecting 2.5.
So far I've lost 5lb. I wanted more, but I'm not tracking my calorie intake, only making 2 low calorie meals per day guessing really.
What does everyone use to work out the calories in there meals please ?

I haven’t tracked calories at all throughout these two months of MJ. I’ve just cut out processed foods and refined sugar. It’s worked well for me. But I downloaded an app called Nutracheck today and it was pretty easy to use. Better than My fitness pal app.

I’m 6 weeks in and have lost 1 stone 3lb
Im using shemed as the price stays the same regardless of dose - I have just ordered pen 3 and asked to stay on 5 as am happy with losses
If I stick to fruit veg salad and protein based meals with few fizzy or acidic drinks I’m not nauseous, just need to be careful re heartburn
Mounjaro has helped my IBS too which I’m very grateful for

jabbed Saturday night, still got a larger than normal raised red site mark. It’s faded but still reeeeaally obvious.

should I be concerned?! I usually bruise/mark but not like this

I have posted codes for codes for £45 off and £100 off on the codes thread , but nobody seems to be interested in them ?

I think someone else had this. I read that it can happen if injecting in same area? Not sure. Can you ask provider?

I’ve used Asda and Chemist 2 U so far. Not sure either do maintenance. I’ll move to a maintenance one when I get close to that I think.

Thaanka for being lovely, I feel better this morning. Last night I managed some dinner. Didn’t sleep well, but my insomnia has ramped up since starting MJ.

I'm week 5 day 5 and still on 2.5. I feel really rough and it's making me wonder if I can continue.

I've felt nauseous all week, awful runs. I feel drained, weak and tired, people are asking if I feel OK, I look exhausted. Continously burping too!

All of this at 2.5 seems ridiculous. I'm not calorie counting but eating sensibly. Perhaps I'm not getting enough calories. I'll check that.

I'm nervous to eat in the day at work in case I need to run to the loo. No pleasure at all in food.

However, I'm a stone down now at 14 stone 3 lb. It's easier to bend down and cut my toe nails, without my stomach getting in the way! I'm starting to see a waist emerging...

My needles STILL haven't arrived 🤬

How annoying. If you go to a pharmacy and ask for insulin needles and extract the dose like the golden dose? Or do you know anyone else on MJ? I know I’ve got spare needles as they give about 6 with each pen

I think some online pharmacies do sell the needles on their own.

What sort of area are you in? Maybe someone else might have a spare?

Hi fellow sufferer, although mine had developed to intense itching (W8). I spoke to my prescribing GP last night. It could be one of several things - if you use a wipe you may be allergic to that or you may be developing an allergic reaction to the drug itself. For me, because of my medical history if it continues I may have to come off MJ 🙄. In interim we’re trying longer needles, no wipes, different injection site and increased antihistamines. I’ve read on other threads, that it can ease but unfortunately my GP wasn’t hopeful!

Im really torn. Injecting tonight and do I stay on 2.5 or go up to 3.75?
Ive lost 2 pounds this week but have definitely found resisting food much more difficult. But maybe thats a good thing? I was so sure i was going to increase dose but with a 2 pound loss im really unsure.

w6d1 Took my second 5mg dose last night. I always find i don't sleep well the night i jab. Anyone else?
Also, i've gained 2lbs (1kg) this week and i'm not getting that full feeling, more of an attitude to food where there's nothing i want to eat. I made my fave salad yesterday for dinner and i looked at it and just thought, really? That's gotta go in my mouth? Ughh. lol. So weird!

Sorry to hear those having side effects. I can relate to how exhausting constant nausea is from being pregnant, and hoping it passes for you soon.
6th weigh in and only half a pound for me, but I have just come on so that will have an effect. 18 pounds in total and planning to do a second 3.75mg this eve. Overall really pleased with progress and thankful for the extra will power mounjaro seems to give me. I’m not feeling much suppression, or even getting overly full; but I can eat three meals a day, stick to my calories, and just not snack. It’s as easy as those people who just say “eat less” say 😂

I get this as well as nausea. I’ve managed to eat today, but feel nauseous afterwards 🤮

I never sleep well the night of my jab. I'm always up and down to the loo loads, and exhausted the next morn. It passes quickly though.

I thought I was bring really clever yesterday and made Emma Bardwell's chia poo jam for the second time. However something went wrong and it was like rubber rather than the corner in my Muller fruit corner. But I'd added the cals to MFP and had to eat it!

Yes on the raised red site this was me on injection 7 - I did nothing differently so it felt quite strange to have a different reaction but the hotness went after a couple of days. I can still see a bare outline of where it had been red but it’s flat again now. I did jab 8 this morning and back to normal. No redness or even bruising this time. I am alternating thighs so it wasn’t from injecting in the same site.

Very strange to not weigh in before injecting as we are away. I’m not sure whether to weigh when I get home or skip a week in case the holiday has made me gain anything…

My suppression on second 2.5mg pen has been okay. I was a bit hungry yesterday but it was the end of the week. I need to decide whether to go up to 5mg for my next pen. I’m going to use the golden dose again from my second pen so have a week or so to think about it before I need to reorder.

Anybody else finding that drinks or food don't taster right? In the office today so treated myself to an iced caramel latte on the way in, didn't taste as nice as usual. Likewise my Touch of lemon and Lime flavoured water. I'm putting off opening the grapes I brought just in case 😒

Things I’ve learnt in the last few weeks.
1/ mounjaro can affect how your body regulates temperature- just because you don’t feel hot doesn’t mean your body isn’t overheating- this makes sense because I was grabbing for a blanket in the heat wave!!! Drink plenty of water!
2/ you need to declare your weight loss jabs on your travel insurance or go back and declare them if you have a year policy, or have already bought one and started jabs afterwards.
3/small bowl of allbran and a glass of 1tbsp chia seeds soaked for 20mins in big glass water(stir occasionally to stop clumps)and then drink, every morning, seems to have helped my constipation! Chia seeds in this form are tasteless and I thought I wouldn’t be able to drink it, but as long as I don’t think about frogspawn I appear to be ok!
4/a drop of liquid on skin after injecting is ok, just make sure you follow instructions properly ie hold for a good 5secs afterwards.
